UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan, in his message published on the occasion of May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, said, “No one should have any doubt that they will make Turkey and TRNC proud.”.
National Unity Party (UBP) Nicosia District Chairman, MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, in his post on his social media account on May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day, pointed out that the spirit of May 19 is always guiding the Turkish Cypriot people and youth and said, “No one should doubt that the statesmen, scientists, doctors, educators, artists, athletes, industrialists, farmers and young people who will achieve success in all areas of life will make Turkey and the TRNC proud.”.
Ahmet Savaşan’s message is as follows:
“May 19, 1919 is a vital turning point on the road to the Republic of Turkey. At a time when the Turkish nation was looking for a solution to liberate the occupied homeland lands, the Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk set foot in Samsun on May 19, 1919, launched the national struggle and ignited the torch of the process that resulted in the proclamation of the republic.
This torch lit by the Turkish nation, united around the love of homeland and flag and the desire for independence, has brought to life the belief, spirit of independence, love of homeland and flag, and the sense of unity.
This spirit has always guided the Turkish Cypriot people and youth. Let no one doubt that the statesmen, scientists, doctors, educators, artists, athletes, industrialists, farmers and young people who will achieve success in all areas of life will make Turkey and the TRNC proud.
I sincerely congratulate the May 19 Commemoration of Atatürk, Youth and Sports Day of the esteemed young people both in Turkey and the TRNC, as well as in different geographies of the world who embrace this special day, and I once again commemorate the sainted martyrs, especially our Great Leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades-in-arms, with respect and mercy.”
