Cyprus Health Tourism Council President Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan published a message on the occasion of the August 1st Social Resistance Day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his message, Cyprus Health Tourism Council President Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan pointed out that while the fact that the Greek Cypriot Leadership does not want to share governance and wealth with the Turkish Cypriot People is obvious, the fighting spirit that created the legend of the Turkish Resistance Organization (TMT) in the past is still needed to protect the equality and sovereignty of the Turkish Cypriots in Cyprus and to strengthen the TRNC.<\/p>\n

IT MUST BE RECOGNIZED THAT THERE IS NO COMMON VISION...<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pointing out that the endless negotiation processes that have been going on for more than half a century have essentially exhausted the model of a federal partnership based on sharing governance and wealth, Sava\u015fan emphasized that it should be accepted by all circles that there is no common vision between the parties in terms of ground.<\/p>\n

THE GOVERNMENT'S STANCE IS A GAME CHANGER...<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ahmet Sava\u015fan pointed out that the government's and Turkey's stance on preserving the peaceful attitude of the Turkish Cypriot side and discussing new ideas that are much more realistic and realizable in the current conditions, including different partnership models based on cooperation on the one hand and two states within the EU on the other hand, has created an important awareness in the international public opinion and pointed out that the proactive attitude of the government on Mara\u015f and the Cyprus Issue will break the memorization and start a new era in the country.<\/p>\n

WE OWE OUR SURVIVAL TO TMT, TURKISH SOLDIERS AND MUJAHIDEEN...<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cStating that if the Turkish People live in Cyprus in safety today, they owe this to the honorable struggle of their ancestors, the Turkish Resistance Organization and Turkey, Ahmet Sava\u015fan emphasized that the Turkish Cypriot People gained their state after a glorious resistance that started with the conquest of Cyprus by the Ottomans, lasted for years with the sprouting of TMT and crowned with the establishment of the Security Forces Command.<\/p>\n

THERE NEEDS TO BE A REALISTIC EFFORT TO STRENGTHEN THE STATE...<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pointing out that August 1 is the day when the Turkish Cypriot People, as an equal sovereign people, will shout to the world that they will not compromise on their free and honorable life, the effective and de facto guarantee of Turkey and the presence of Turkish troops on the island, Ahmet Sava\u015fan underlined that a realistic effort should be made to strengthen the state internally and externally.<\/p>\n

HAPPY HOLIDAY OF SOCIAL RESISTANCE...<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pointing out that the heroes who fought with honor from the past to the present, especially the leader of the Social Struggle Dr. Faz\u0131l K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck, Founding President Rauf Raif Denkta\u015f and the founders of the TMT, will never be forgotten, Ahmet Sava\u015fan said, \u201cWe remember with mercy our nameless heroes who served in our TMT with great sacrifices and quietly passed away, and we greet the living TMT members with our sincere love and respect.
