Cyprus Health Tourism Council President Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan, who issued a message on the occasion of World Children's Day, pointed out that 1 billion children are at \u201cvery high risk\u201d due to the consequences of climate change. Emphasizing that it is clearly seen that the climate crisis poses a direct threat to the survival, development and future potential of children, Ahmet Sava\u015fan said, \u201cMore than 99 percent of the world's child population is affected by the climate crisis. Looking at UNICEF data, we see that 1 billion children are currently at \u2019very high risk\u201c due to the consequences of climate change. Nearly 1 in 3 of the world's child population struggles with thirst. 1 in 4 children suffer from diseases such as malaria.
\ndiseases, and this number is projected to rise as increases in temperature facilitate the transmission of these diseases. The figures reveal the magnitude of the danger. The world is making great efforts to change this picture.
\nand there is no choice but to increase this effort! Hope still exists.1 To turn this hope into reality, we must all take action without wasting any time to hear the voices of children and young people and leave them a better world as they deserve.\u201d.<\/p>\n

Children are the common hope of humanity.<\/p>\n

At the end of his message, Sava\u015fan said, \u201cWith the awareness that children are the common hope and the most important treasure of humanity, on this special day, I kiss the eyes of all children and wish them a life full of love, peace and peace. I celebrate World Children's Day.\u201d.<\/p>\n
