Zorlu T\u00f6re, Speaker of the Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, received Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey.<\/h2>\n

During the reception, Ambassador of Turkey Ali Murat Basceri<\/span><\/span>, Minister of Tourism and Environment Fikri Ataoglu<\/span>, UBP MPs Sad\u0131k Gardiyano\u011flu<\/span>, Ahmet Sava\u015fan<\/span>, Hasan Kucuk<\/span> and Yasemi \u00d6zt\u00fcrk<\/span>, CTP MP \u015eifa \u00c7olako\u011flu<\/span>, and YDP MP Talip Atalay<\/span> were also present.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In his speech at the reception, Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, stated that the visits were very productive and that he felt like one of the family.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Referring to his first visit to the parliament, Ersoy said that his ministry is intertwined with the ministries in Cyprus in many activities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stating that culture, art or tourism activities were disrupted during the pandemic period, Ersoy said that they had the opportunity to make the necessary consultations to improve these issues in the meetings held today and noted that they hope that they will come to Cyprus more often and move forward quickly. \u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

T\u00d6RE<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Speaker of the Republican Assembly Zorlu T\u00f6re<\/span><\/span> In his speech, he expressed his happiness to see the minister and his delegation in the TRNC.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stating that a national cause is being carried out here and that this is a common cause, T\u00f6re said, \u201cA national cause is being carried out in Cyprus. This national cause is our common cause. It is our essence. Our nation is the same. We are the Turkish nation, but the Turkish Cypriot people waited here for 96 years for Motherland Turkey. They stayed away from the Turkish nation. We have come to these days by protecting our national and spiritual identity.\u201d.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stating that with the July 20 Happy Peace Operation, the Turkish Cypriot people regained their freedom, T\u00f6re said that the TRNC state was declared after the operation and that the Republic was the greatest work, as Atat\u00fcrk also stated.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

T\u00f6re said that the contribution to turning the house of the late Alparslan T\u00fcrke\u015f, who was born in the TRNC, into a museum was extremely important and continued as follows:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNow, it is once again up to you to restore the Museum of Barbarism, prepare it with a digital environment and present it to future generations. We thank you very much for this. We will hopefully continue on our way in national unity and solidarity. We do not consider ourselves separate from Motherland Turkey. The Turkish Cypriot people also have a national state here called TRNC. This national state will be celebrated again on November 15th and we will see you among us again. We also wish mercy to our martyrs. As they gain such works, the souls of our martyrs will be honored.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pointing out that a nation that does not protect the martyrs and veterans may fall into danger or misconception, T\u00f6re stated that all their efforts are not to fall into a misconception, and that as soon as they are deceived, this place may return to the pre-1974 period.<\/span>
\nStating that a federal solution is no longer possible in Cyprus, T\u00f6re noted that federalism was included in the 1959-60 Zurich and London Treaties, but the Greeks did not accept it and abolished it.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stating that negotiations have been held many times for an agreement based on federalism, but the Greek Cypriot side said no to these, T\u00f6re said that it is no longer right to return to federalism and that federations are disappearing one by one in the world.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Stating that it was the Greeks who abolished the partnership republic in Cyprus, T\u00f6re noted that they cannot be united with the Greeks again under the roof of a single state because the Greeks still see Cyprus as \u2018Helen\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

T\u00f6re concluded his words as follows:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe are Turks. We are a part of the Turkish nation. We established the TRNC together. With the 1974 Happy Peace Operation, Mehmet\u00e7ik-mujahideen prepared the environment for the formation of a state by adding life to life, blood to blood. Today we are free, we look to the future with hope. We look with confidence.
