UBP Group Deputy Chairman Ahmet Sava\u015fan celebrated the 40th anniversary of the TRNC. In his message, Sava\u015fan said, \u2019It has been alive for 40 years; it will continue to live\u201c.<\/p>\n
National Unity Party (UBP) Nicosia MP and Group Deputy Chairman Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan emphasized that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) was established with the will of the Turkish Cypriot people, it was kept alive with the support of Turkey and will continue to live with unity.<\/p>\n
In the message he published on the anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC, he said, \u201cOur state, which was created 40 years ago by the leaders of our struggle for existence, has turned 40 years old. Congratulations to all of us. For 40 years, it is an indisputable fact that our state, which continues to live by braving embargoes and pressures, will continue to live for many more 40 years.\u201d Ahmet Sava\u015fan pointed out that there are two reasons why the TRNC has not collapsed despite the attacks made so far. Sava\u015fan said, \u201cThe first of these reasons is that the TRNC was established with the will of the Turkish Cypriot people; that such a popular will must be at the basis of every state, and the existence of this will in the TRNC is clearly evident. The second is the support of Turkey.\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cKKTC WILL LIVE FOREVER WITH THE DECISIVE SUPPORT OF TURKEY\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Pointing out that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which the major powers of the world are trying to keep under embargoes, has left behind its 40th anniversary with the support of Turkey, Ahmet Sava\u015fan said, \u2019It is obvious that the TRNC can continue to live forever with the decisive support of the strengthening Turkey.\u201c.<\/p>\n \u201cWE WILL GET STRONGER AS KKTC GETS STRONGER\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Stating that every state is the greatest source of power for the people it represents, UBP Group Deputy Chairman Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan said, \u201cTRNC is our greatest power. For this reason, we need to know that we will be strong to the extent that we strengthen it. As the TRNC becomes stronger, we will become stronger both politically, economically and socially.\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWE MUST NOT BE SATISFIED WITH WHAT WE HAVE DONE IN THE PAST, WE MUST DO NEW THINGS\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Pointing out that there are many things that need to be done to strengthen the TRNC, Sava\u015fan said, \u201cThe world is constantly changing; needs are diversifying and increasing. The TRNC needs to develop in a way to respond to these needs. We cannot be satisfied with what we have done in the past, we need to do new things. This is the task we face today. To strengthen the TRNC every day; to keep it serving the people. If we succeed in this, one day everyone, all the states of the world will have to recognize the TRNC as the sole and legitimate state of the Turkish Cypriot people.\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWE NEED TO BE A STATE THAT REALIZES ITS EXISTENCE IN EVERY FIELD\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Pointing out that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has successfully overcome the 40 years it has left behind thanks to Turkey's decisive support and has taken root, Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan said, \u201cIt is obvious that Turkey's support is vital. However, we need to make the best use of this support. We cannot continue on our way by receiving financial contributions from Turkey. We need to be a state that stands on our own feet and realizes its existence in every field by taking advantage of Turkey's economic and social potential.\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWE HAVE TO WORK HARDER, BE MORE EFFICIENT...\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan reminded that thanks to the active support of Turkish President Erdogan, the TRNC became an observer member of the Organization of Turkic States and that Erdogan continues to defend the rights of the TRNC on every international platform and said, \u201cIt is up to us to use the paths opened by Mr. Erdogan more effectively. We need to work harder, be more efficient and make better use of the opportunities provided to us.\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cYOUR WORK WILL ILLUMINATE THE PLACE OF OUR STATE...\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n At the end of his message, Ahmet Sava\u015fan said, \u201cOur hope, knowledge, courage and working power will keep the path and place of the Turkish Cypriot people and the state established by them, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, light and bright. With these feelings and thoughts, we once again express our gratitude to the mujahideen, resisters, members of the Security Forces, members of the Turkish Cypriot Peace Operation, our martyrs and their families, our veterans and our Turkey, which is always with us.
