National Unity Party (UBP) MP Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan<\/span> In a message on his personal social media account ahead of tomorrow's local elections, he pointed out that local governments can be strengthened if local government bodies are handed over to reformist leaders.<\/p>\n

Local governments, which are so close to us and affect our lives so closely, need to have reconciliatory and solution-oriented administrators. Keeping those who try to use local governments as a tool for their political goals, those who try to pollute local elections with political debates away from local government bodies, and appointing administrators who will work in harmony with the government and the Motherland Turkey, the main supporter of the TRNC, in the next four years will ensure that we receive the expected service from local governments.<\/em><\/p>\n

We have made a serious reform to strengthen our local governments, which were worn out during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. In the coming period, we need to advance this reform and strengthen municipalities in terms of authority and resources. Handing over local government bodies to reformist leaders will be an important step to strengthen our local governments.<\/em><\/p>\n
