Sava\u015fan, who was in Iran for the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) 3rd Health Tourism Conference, which he attended as an observer member, suddenly found himself in a ring of fire during the attacks.<\/p>\n<p>In the hours when Iranian airspace was closed, security threats increased and diplomatic traffic intensified, an evacuation plan was prepared in coordination with the Turkish Embassy in Tehran. Sava\u015fan left Iran for Turkey in a secured convoy, accompanied by bodyguards assigned by the embassy.<\/p>\n<p>The arduous 12-hour overland journey was punctuated by security checks, communication interruptions and tense waits. However, Sava\u015fan and the accompanying delegation reached the Turkish border at dawn and entered the country safely.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThank God, we are in Turkey,\u201d he said on social media, sharing his feelings.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kibrispostasi.com\/keyword\/8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"marked\">Ahmet Sava\u015fan<\/span><\/a>; He thanked Hicabi K\u0131rlang\u0131\u00e7, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Tehran, embassy staff, Consul General of Urumiyeh A. C\u00fcneyt Akbal, law enforcement officers and all the officials who took part in the process.<\/p>\n<p>Sava\u015fan also thanked the government officials of the Republic of Turkey who closely followed the process, the President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus\u00a0<span class=\"marked\">Ersin Tatar<\/span>\u2019to Prime Minister\u00a0<span class=\"marked\">Unal \u00dcstel<\/span>\u2019Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism\u00a0<span class=\"marked\">Fikri Ataoglu<\/span>\u2019to the Minister of Foreign Affairs\u00a0<span class=\"marked\">Tahsin Ertu\u011frulo\u011flu<\/span>\u2019a special thank you.<\/p>\n<p>Expressing his gratitude to his family, friends and everyone who made him feel that they were with him with messages of support, Sava\u015fan shared his post as follows: \u201cWe are in Turkey.
