At the international meeting titled \u201cCompetitive Advantages of Northern Cyprus in Health Tourism\u201d organized under the auspices of Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Atao\u011flu, the competitive advantages of TRNC in health tourism were discussed. 40 delegates from 12 countries attended the event where robotic rehabilitation, reproductive medicine and THY's special flights came to the fore.<\/h2>\n

The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) continues to promote its potential in the field of health tourism at the international level. The international meeting titled \u201cCompetitive Advantages of Northern Cyprus in Health Tourism\u201d, organized by the Cyprus Health Tourism Council under the auspices of the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, with the support of the Ministry of Health and Turkish Airlines, was held at Vuni Palace Hotel.<\/p>\n

40 DELEGATES FROM 12 COUNTRIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

12 health tourism professionals from 12 countries attended the meeting; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment\u00a0Fikri Ataoglu<\/span>, Minister of Health Dr.\u00a0Hakan Din\u00e7y\u00fcrek<\/span>, Cyprus Health Tourism Council President and Deputy Dr.\u00a0Ahmet Sava\u015fan<\/span><\/a>, Dr. K\u00f6ksal Holo\u011flu, President of the Turkish Health Tourism Development Council, Orhan Tolun, President of KITSAB, Dr. Remzi Gardiyano\u011flu, President of the Association of Self-Employed Physicians, Hayat \u0130zel, President of the Association of Private Hospitals, Assoc. Dr. Sava\u015f \u00d6zyi\u011fit, President of the Association of Reproductive Medicine, H\u00fcseyin Oskar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oscar Group, \u0130brahim Ba\u011fman, CEO, P\u0131nar Ayvaz Ar\u0131kan, THY Cyprus Manager, Romatem Health Group and various university hospitals and 40 delegates from 12 countries attended.<\/p>\n

ROBOTIC REHABILITATION AND INTERNATIONAL SERVICE QUALITY ON THE AGENDA<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the meeting, the advantages of robotic rehabilitation and physiotherapy services in Northern Cyprus, high success rates in reproductive medicine, the service capacity of university hospitals at international standards and the privileges offered by Turkish Airlines to health tourists were discussed. Participating countries included Turkey, TRNC, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Poland, Croatia, India, Romania, Italy, Russia, Kosovo and the UK.<\/p>\n

F\u0130KR\u0130 ATAO\u011eLU WE CONTRIBUTE TO WORLD HEALTH TOURISM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Minister\u00a0Fikri A<\/span>t<\/span>aoglu<\/span>, Atao\u011flu stated that the TRNC's development in health tourism has gained momentum since 2015. Atao\u011flu reminded that TRNC assumed the term presidency of the World Health Tourism Council, of which 56 countries are members, last year and emphasized that the work carried out in this process contributed not only to Northern Cyprus but also to global health tourism. Atao\u011flu also thanked Dr. Atao\u011flu, who pioneered the first barrier-free hotel and robotic rehabilitation center established in the country.\u00a0Ahmet Sava\u015fan<\/span><\/a>\u2019He also congratulated H\u00fcseyin Oskar and Dr. K\u00f6ksal Holo\u011flu for realizing this investment.<\/p>\n

HAKAN DI\u0307N\u00c7Y\u00dcREK: 2025 WILL BE THE YEAR OF STRENGTHENING HEALTH INVESTMENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n

Minister of Health Dr.\u00a0Hakan Din\u00e7y\u00fcrek<\/span>\u00a0Stating that 2025 will be a year in which health investments will be strengthened, he said that as the ministry, they have taken the necessary steps for the development of health tourism both at the level of legislation and implementation and that they fully support this field.<\/p>\n

Ahmet Sava\u015fan<\/span><\/a>: 20 COUNTRIES START DIGITAL PROMOTION DRIVE<\/strong>WE ARE LATER<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speaking at the meeting, Dr.\u00a0Ahmet Sava\u015fan<\/span><\/a>, He said that the Cyprus Health Tourism Council is the most comprehensive organization representing the health and tourism sector on the island. Stating that 2025 has been declared the year of digital promotion and marketing, Sava\u015fan announced that promotional activities will be carried out in 20 countries in areas such as robotic physical therapy, IVF, plastic surgery and cardiology.<\/p>\n

SPECIAL FLIGHT OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEDICAL TOURISTS FROM THY<\/strong><\/p>\n

THY Cyprus Manager P\u0131nar Ayvaz Ar\u0131kan announced that in line with the cooperation with the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, tourists who will come to TRNC to receive health services are provided with special conditions and discounted fares.<\/p>\n

K\u00d6KSAL HOLO\u011eLU KKTC-TURKEY COOPERATION INSPIRES THE SECTOR<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his speech, Dr. K\u00f6ksal Holo\u011flu, President of the Turkish Health Tourism Development Council, emphasized that cooperation with TRNC is of great importance in terms of health tourism. Holo\u011flu stated that the robotic physical therapy center and barrier-free hotel investments that Romatem Health Group and Oscar Group brought to Northern Cyprus inspired the sector and thanked all the authorities who supported the project.<\/p>\n

THE MEETING CONCLUDED WITH NEW COOPERATION AND PROMOTION OPPORTUNITIES<\/strong><\/p>\n

The meeting ended with the exchange of information and experience among the participants and the evaluation of mutual cooperation opportunities.<\/p>\n
