Ahmet Sava\u015fan, Founding President of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, together with Tourism Minister Fikri Atao\u011flu and sector representatives, attended the WTM International Tourism Fair (World Travel Market), which is considered one of the most important meeting points of tourism professionals and started yesterday in London.<\/p>\n

Sava\u015fan said that the WTM International Tourism Fair, which will bring together more than 50 thousand tourism professionals with 5 thousand stands from 180 countries, creates a great opportunity to develop business opportunities for the next year. Stating that the fair will also host conferences where the future vision of the tourism sector will be determined, Sava\u015fan pointed out that the WTM fair is one of the most prestigious organizations with these features.<\/p>\n

WTM FAIR HAS A SPECIAL PLACE FOR OUR COUNTRY<\/strong><\/p>\n

In his first assessment of the fair, Sava\u015fan said that the council and sector representatives participated in many international fairs and organizations around the world under the umbrella of the TRNC Ministry of Tourism in order to promote Northern Cyprus, and pointed out that the WTM Fair has a special place for our country compared to others.<\/p>\n

TAKING CONCRETE STEPS IN HEALTH TOURISM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emphasizing that today, a new generation tourism understanding has developed and that this understanding is an efficient tourism style that follows global developments, is competitive, compatible with modern organization, environment and regional tourism, uses internet technology and can renew itself, Sava\u015fan said that Northern Cyprus, like all countries prone to Health Tourism, which takes its unique place in the tourism industry that continues its development despite the global crises in the world, has taken concrete steps in this period.<\/p>\n

Stating that promotion and marketing are as important as quality, international standards and branding in order to achieve success in health tourism, Sava\u015fan said that the fact that the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Health are acting with this awareness is not only pleasing but also creates an extremely important opportunity for the development of this field. Stating that many countries from Canada to Brazil, India to Costa Rica, Malaysia to Cuba are competing with each other in the field of health tourism, Sava\u015fan said that Northern Cyprus has also started to make a name for itself in this field.<\/p>\n
