{"id":19904,"date":"2016-02-08T08:07:37","date_gmt":"2016-02-08T08:07:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ahmetsavasan.com\/?p=19904"},"modified":"2025-08-18T08:09:35","modified_gmt":"2025-08-18T08:09:35","slug":"kibris-saglik-turizmi-konseyi-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ahmetsavasan.com\/en\/kibris-saglik-turizmi-konseyi-2\/","title":{"rendered":"CYPRUS HEALTH TOURISM COUNCIL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sava\u015fan: We will work actively in 54 countries...<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new strategic plan has been prepared to attract more tourist patients from more countries to Northern Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p>Emin \u00c7akmak, Honorary President of the World Health Tourism Council, and Ahmet Sava\u015fan, Founding President of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, came together at the Health Tourism meeting held in Istanbul with the participation of state and private sector organizations operating in the field of health, universities as well as international stakeholders, and created a new strategic plan to bring tourist patients from more countries to Northern Cyprus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>30 million tourists go to other countries for their health...<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stating that 30 million people in the world go abroad to find healing and that the annual turnover in this sector reaches 150 billion dollars, Emin \u00c7akmak underlined that Health Tourism creates 5-6 times more added value than Holiday (Mass) Tourism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Active work in 54 countries...<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stating that Turkey's target in Health Tourism is to be among the top five countries in the world and to generate 20-25 Billion Dollars in 2023, \u00c7akmak said that the international cooperation network will be expanded in order for Northern Cyprus to take its place in the world as an alternative destination in Health Tourism and to increase its revenues. \u00c7akmak added that for this purpose, active studies will be carried out before 54 member countries of the World Council in 2016.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public and private sectors should not be discriminated...<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emin \u00c7akmak emphasized that Northern Cyprus has an important potential in terms of health tourism with its geographical location, historical, touristic and humanitarian features, and the increasing number of qualified hospitals and clinics, especially the NEU Hospital, which Dr. Suat \u0130. G\u00fcnsel put into the service of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Stating that the state should assume a supervisory role for the development of Health Tourism in the TRNC, \u00c7akmak emphasized that it is vital to encourage this field without discriminating between the public and private sectors as in Turkey.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Northern Cyprus has what it takes...<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Emphasizing that Northern Cyprus has all the features required to be preferred in health tourism thanks to its high-comfort hospitals consisting of smart buildings, specialist physicians using the latest technology devices and up-to-date information, international accreditations and price advantages, Ahmet Sava\u015fan said that 1.5 billion people living within a 4-5 hour flight distance have a great potential in terms of Health Tourism.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More than seventy network offices will work...<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Finally, Sava\u015fan gave the good news that within the scope of the new strategic plan, more than seventy network offices in the member countries of the World Health Tourism Council will actively work to send tourist patients to Northern Cyprus.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sava\u015fan: We will work actively in 54 countries...
