Sava\u015fan was awarded by Turkish Airlines<\/strong><\/p>\n

President of the Health Tourism Council Sava\u015fan stated that the number of tourists has fallen and said that this decline can be prevented if the government receives Turkey's support and improves cooperation with the sector<\/strong><\/p>\n

Turkish Airlines (THY) presented an award to Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan, President of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, for his pioneering contributions to the diversification of tourism in Northern Cyprus.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the opening of the gala where THY gave awards to tourism professionals who achieved success in various categories, Dr. Ahmet Sava\u015fan emphasized that the newly established government should act in harmony with Turkey and solve the problems in tourism on the one hand, and on the other hand, start the digital transformation process to achieve sustainability in tourism.<\/p>\n

Pointing out that the TRNC's imports are 1.778 billion USD, exports are 105 million USD and foreign trade deficit is 1.672 billion USD, Sava\u015fan said that the highest income in the country is obtained from tourism with 865 million USD, followed by higher education with 765 million USD.<\/p>\n

TOURISM NEEDS A REAL SUCCESS STORY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Pointing out that the last stop in the history of societies' economic production models is defined as the fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0, Sava\u015fan said that the 4.0 World has changed the way of doing business not only in industry but in all sectors.<\/p>\n

Stating that if the current problems are solved as soon as possible and the 4.0 revolution is launched, an institutionalized, branded, high value-added and sustainable tourism will be possible, Sava\u015fan pointed out that a real success story is needed in tourism.<\/p>\n
