\nAhmet Sava\u015fan stated that the history of newspapers in the world dates back 3400 years to Egypt and that the development and spread of newspapers and journalism worldwide was realized with the development of printing and printing technology. Stating that newspapers underwent a great development and transformation especially in the 20th century, Sava\u015fan said that especially since the beginning of the 21st century, with the internet revolution and the widespread use of smartphones and other devices, there has been a significant transformation in the understanding of news and newspapers.

\nReiterating that the implementation of the Press Labor Law is of vital importance, Ahmet Sava\u015fan underlined the need to systematize the journalism-news relationship in accordance with the conditions of the new age, without compromising the principles of accuracy and adherence to ethical rules, which are the most important and fundamental features of the journalism profession, when we think in the context of the internet - social media - social networking sites, and stated that it is indispensable to pass the Informatics Law as soon as possible for the regulation and supervision of this field.
