National Unity Party MP Ahmet Savaşan emphasized the importance of raising awareness in the fight against cancer and stated that solidarity should be strengthened with the theme “We are one with our uniqueness”.
National Unity Party (UBP) MP Ahmet Savaşan, published a message on February 4, World Cancer Day and drew attention to the importance of raising awareness in the fight against cancer.
Stating that World Cancer Day aims to raise awareness about cancer, strengthen education and mobilize individuals and governments every year, Savaşan said, “This special day is not only about raising awareness, but also a call for continuous action. Every step to be taken to prevent millions of preventable deaths is of great importance.”.
The World Cancer Day theme for 2025-2027 was determined as “We are One in our Uniqueness”. Making a statement about this theme, Savaşan emphasized that each individual's journey in the fight against cancer is different and unique, but these differences unite people in solidarity. “We should not forget that everyone fighting cancer shares a common bond. This bond is a force that brings empathy, support and resilience to the forefront,” Savaşan said, adding that every member of society should be more aware and in solidarity in this fight.
Savaşan also emphasized the importance of early diagnosis in the fight against cancer, stating that regular health checks should be carried out and adopting healthy living habits are critical steps in the prevention of cancer. “The fight against cancer is not only today's responsibility, but always our responsibility. Today, let's raise awareness and unite in the fight against cancer.”.
