Stating that November 15th is a historical day that showed the world the determination and endurance of the people, their ability and determination to struggle, and their commitment to freedom in order to reach the goal, Savaşan said, “November 15th is not only a matter of loyalty to the cherished memories of our founding fathers and mothers who did not think for a moment to give up themselves for our children to live freely today. This issue is a matter of protecting the republic, which is the symbol of the social will of a people whose vital existence on our beautiful island is threatened, in its struggle for a free future.”.

Stating that the Health Tourism Council, together with many other responsible institutions, organizations and individuals, is working day and night to keep alive the values represented by the republic and to explain them to the international community, Ahmet Savaşan said: “In spite of those who try to isolate the Turkish Cypriot People with insincere policies and ruthless embargoes, we produce concrete projects every day and strive to help increase the added value within the country.”.
The vicious circle must be broken as soon as possible...
Underlining the need for new ideas in Cyprus, Savaşan said: “Ahmet Savaşan emphasized that it is necessary to get out of the vicious circle formed by saying the same things in Cyprus, talking about the same issues in the same axis and on the same ground and not getting a result, and emphasized that the international community also has a great duty in this regard.
Why a realistic solution has not been reached...
Stating that the Greek Cypriot Leadership is trying to blur political equality, and that it has made statements and proposals contrary to the understanding of sharing, which is the most basic sine qua non of federal partnerships, Savaşan said, “It is time and long overdue to reveal why a solution cannot be reached in which the future will be secured by protecting the state, sovereignty and Turkey's effective and de facto guarantee, which is the demand of the vast majority of the Turkish Cypriot People.”.
