In the January 23, 2022 early general elections, Dr. Ahmet Savaşan entered the Republican Assembly as Nicosia MP and as of January 2025, he has been serving as the Deputy Group Deputy Chairman of the National Unity Party. Taking an active role in legislative work, Savaşan actively contributed to more than 100 legislative works between 2022-2024 within the framework of his membership of the Republican Assembly Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee and the Ad Hoc and Special Committee established to discuss the European Union Harmonization Draft Laws.

Savaşan, who is of Paphos origin, was born in Nicosia in 1977. He completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctorate degrees at Near East University. He conducted academic studies as an associate professor, organized more than 100 congresses and received awards. Having worked as a manager for 20 years, Savaşan served as the President of the World Health Tourism Council in 2023-24. Savaşan, who was elected as UBP Nicosia MP in 2022 and is currently UBP Group Deputy Chairman, contributed to nearly 100 legislative studies. Savaşan is married and has one child.
