Cyprus Health Tourism Council President Dr. Ahmet Savaşan and members of the board of directors visited the elderly, patients and health tourists in our country on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.

According to the statement made by the Health Tourism Council; President Ahmet Savaşan, together with Board Members, President of the Private Hospitals Association Dr. Hayat İzel, President of the Association of Independent Physicians Dr. Remzi Gardiyanoğlu, Prof. Dr. Mesut Yalvaç and Özgü Bayraktar, visited various hospitals in our country, especially Bülent Ecevit Rehabilitation Center, and celebrated the holiday of the elderly, patients and children.

HOLIDAYS ARE IMPORTANT DAYS THAT KEEP SOCIETY TOGETHER

In his speech during the visit, Savaşan said that Eid al-Adha is one of the religious holidays that keep the community together and where unity, solidarity and closeness are felt at the highest level, and pointed out that the Turkish Cypriot people have a culture that adopts the principle that ‘blessings are with elders’.

THE MEANINGS ATTACHED TO HOLIDAYS ARE CHANGING

“We should make our elders, the sick, the disabled, orphans, orphans and those in need feel that we remember and stand by them not only on holidays but always,” Savaşan said, underlining that today, due to changing times and lifestyles, the meanings attributed to holidays are also changing.
