Stating that this harmony will first of all help to improve the deteriorating Turkey-TRNC relations, Ahmet Savaşan said, “We are surrounded by a ring of fire. There is no power other than Turkey to support us in this process. We have all watched together the support Mr. Tatar received from the Turkish public opinion during the election process and the positive message his election gave to the Turkish public opinion. In fact, Tatar's election alone has brought Turkey-TRNC relations to a very positive point. With the conscious continuation of this process, we will see together that the relations between the two states will be much better and will strengthen the Turkish Cypriot people materially and spiritually.”.
The Cyprus problem is being made the first item on the agenda...
“All parties, especially the Greek Cypriot side, have rolled up their sleeves to make the Cyprus problem the first item on the agenda. We see that every day a new statement is made; every day a new proposal is made. The harmony we have achieved with Turkey will be our greatest strength in this process,” said Savaşan, “because of this harmony, all parties will have to put an end to the game of pitting us and Turkey against each other. Either they will agree to an agreement in which the interests of the Turkish Cypriot people and Turkey will be protected; or they will watch the steps that will protect Turkish interests in the Eastern Mediterranean forever with anger, making new statements.”.
Student and tourist movement will start through Turkey...
UBP Central Executive Board Member Ahmet Savaşan reminded that we are going through an epidemic process and said, “The epidemic threatens our economy as well as our health. We have provided the necessary aid from Turkey to protect our health. We also provide the necessary contribution from Turkey to revitalize our economy. Students have started to return. Tourists will also start coming. These movements will be primarily from Turkey. Turkey is also financing our budget deficit due to the pandemic. In this way, the state can continue on its way without falling into insolvency. Thanks to the state's payments, fresh money is given to the market,” he said, adding that this will continue thanks to the harmony with Turkey.

Mr. Tatar attaches great importance to social unity. He will do a lot for this during his presidency. Social unity and solidarity will be strengthened.
Mr. Tatar is a strong defender of our rights in Cyprus. From now on, he will remind us of these rights on every platform, in every meeting to be held in the international arena. We will not give anything to anyone without getting our rights.
