The Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic continued to discuss two bills on municipalities today.
The Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic of Turkey will discuss two draft laws on municipalities today at 10.00 a.m. UBP MP Committee Chairman Özdemir Berova chaired by the President.
It was decided to discuss the Municipalities (Amendment) Draft Law (Y.T.No: 1/1/2022) and the Municipalities Amendment Draft Law (Y.T.No: 7/1/2022), which include regulations such as redefining towns and cities, increasing the population criterion of 5 thousand and above to 20 thousand in local governments, and creating an autonomous and auditable structure in municipalities.
The Committee continued to discuss the items at its meeting today. The Committee will continue its work at its next meeting.
Officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Interior, the Union of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities, Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Güzelyurt Municipality, Değirmenlik Municipality, Çatalköy Municipality and the Municipal Workers' Union (BES) attended the committee meeting as invitees and made opinions and suggestions on the issue.
UBP MP Özdemir Berova The meeting of the Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee convened under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, CTP MP Elephantiz Besim, committee members CTP MP Devrim Barçın, UBP MPs Ahmet Savaşan and Emrah Yesilriver attended. The committee meeting was also attended by UBP MPs Hasan Kucuk and Hüseyin Çavuş, CTP MPs Erkut Şahali, Teberrüken Uluçay and HP MP Jale Refik Rogers also participated.
