President of Cyprus Health Tourism Council, National Unity Party (UBP) MP Ahmet Savaşan, published a message on the occasion of October 29th Republic Day.
Savaşan emphasized that the establishment of the Republic of Turkey set a good model for independence and freedom for all Turkic communities.
In his message, Savaşan said; “The Turkish Nation has spread over a geography too wide to be gathered under the roof of a single state due to its historical development and has taken part in different formations due to the diversity of its historical ties. The existence and struggle of the Republic of Turkey has been an important model for all these communities and has set a torch for what to work for.”.
Ahmet Savaşan, He noted that this torch also illuminated the path of the Turkish Cypriot people and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Pointing out that the Republic of Turkey is the name of a great victory and the name of building a modern state, Savaşan said, “The Republic is the spirit of unity on the basis of modern national and human values without discriminating religion, language, race and sect. October 29 is the guarantee that not only Turkey but also the TRNC will live free and independent.”.
Stating that with October 29, it was registered that the sovereignty belongs unconditionally to the Turkish Nation Ahmet Savaşan, Savaşan reminded that while the Turkish Cypriots were still under British rule, they expressed their commitment to the principles and reforms of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founding leader of the Republic, and started to implement them. Emphasizing that the Turkish Cypriot people are firmly committed to the values represented by the Republic from past to present, Savaşan underlined that this commitment is the most important strength of the Turkish Cypriots.
Stating that the meaning of all Turks living outside the territory of the Republic of Turkey voluntarily embracing the Republic Day should be well understood by everyone Ahmet Savaşan, “This embrace is a very important sign of the unity of the Turkish Nation. In addition, this unity has an existential importance for the Turkish Cypriots. Such that; this unity is also vital for the solution of regional problems and regional stability.”.
“REGIONAL POWERS SHOULD COOPERATE WITH KKTC”
Savaşan noted that if both the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus (GASC) and the countries trying to become the dominant power in the region internalize the depth and meaning of this unity, they will be able to move away from adventurous tendencies and take steps for a peaceful region based on facts.
Ahmet Savaşan, Stating that all elements trying to have a say in the region, especially the SCGA, should leave aside their dreams of ignoring the Turkish Cypriots, who have formed their own state by following the path opened by the Republic of Turkey, and cooperate with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, he said, “Only in this way will regional peace and security be established.”.
Ahmet Savaşan, While congratulating the 99th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey, he said, “I bow with respect before the cherished memories of those who contributed to the establishment and progress of the Republic, especially the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who opened the horizon for us with his revolutions and genius.
