The Ad Hoc and Special Committee of the Assembly of the Republic, which was formed to discuss the European Union harmonization bills, convened today under the chairmanship of the Committee Chairman, UBP MP Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu.

The Ad Hoc and Special Committee of the Assembly of the Republic, which was established to discuss the European Union harmonization bills, met today with the Chairman of the Committee, National Unity Party (UBP) MP Oguzhan Hasipoglu under the chairmanship of the Committee. The Committee completed the general discussion of the Hal Bill and started to discuss the bill article by article.

According to the statement made by the Assembly of the Republic, the committee approved the “Hal Law Proposal (Proposal Owner İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra, UBP Kyrenia MP) (S.O. No: 5/1/2022)” and “Hal Bill (S.T. No: 36/1/2022)”.

“The Ad Hoc and Special Committee, which decided to discuss the ”Hal Law Proposal“ by combining it under the ”Hal Bill", completed the general discussion of the relevant bill and started to discuss the bill article by article. The Committee will continue its work on the draft law at its next meeting.

Chairman of the Committee, UBP MP Oguzhan Hasipoglu, Committee member UBP MP Hüseyin Çavuş and UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan participated. During the committee meeting, Minister of Economy and Energy Olgun Amcaoglu were also present.

Officials from the Ministry of Economy and Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Union of Municipalities, the TRNC Greenhouse Growers Association, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Craftsmen and Artisans, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce and the Chamber of Agricultural Engineers also attended the committee meeting as invitees and shared their views.
