The Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic, which is in Ankara to hold talks at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, visited Anıtkabir.

The Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic of Turkey, which went to Ankara to hold talks at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, visited the Mausoleum.

 

According to the statement made by the Assembly of the Republic, Committee Chairman, UBP MP Özdemir Berova’as well as the Deputy Chairman of the Committee, CTP MP Filiz Besim, committee members, UBP MP Emrah Yesilirmak, CTP MP Devrim Barçın, UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan and CTP MP Erkut Şahali’After walking along the Lion's Way at Anıtkabir, the delegation laid a wreath at the mausoleum where the tomb of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, is located, and observed a moment of silence.

 

The delegation then went to the Misak-ı Milli Tower. Committee Chairman Özdemir Berova, wrote the following in the Anıtkabir special book:

It is with great honor and pride that we, together with the Chairman of the Committee on Administrative, Public and Health Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and the members of the delegation, are here before you. We extend our deepest respect to your exalted personality who dedicated his life and works to the interests of the Turkish people, changed the destiny of his country and left a deep mark on the whole world.

I pledge on my honor and dignity to work hand in hand and heart to heart with our motherland, the Republic of Turkey, to do our utmost to reach the level of “contemporary civilization” that you have set as a goal, and to work unceasingly to further glorify our state, which we established as a result of difficult struggles. Once again, we have sworn to protect the republic and democracy until our last breath.
