The third week program of the National Unity Party Politics Academy was completed with lectures given by Prof. Dr. Necdet Basa, Assist. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdi Şafak and Mahmut Özçınar.
The third week program of the National Unity Party (UBP) Politics Academy's I. Term has been completed.
The third week program of the National Unity Party Politics Academy was held at the Near East University (NEU) Grand Library under the moderation of Academy Coordinator and Deputy Chairman of the NUP Group Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, with the participation of NUP youth, women and members, as well as NUP President, Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Ministers, MPs, MPs, District Mayors and Mayors.
The third week lectures of the Politics Academy, which was established with the initiative of UBP President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel with the aim of ensuring that especially young people and women who will take part in politics undergo a good education, are well-equipped and have a vision, were given by Prof. Dr. Necdet Basa, who has worked as a lecturer in Cologne and various universities, has served as Chief Advisor to the Prime Minister in Turkey, Secretary General of the Turkish Grand National Assembly, member of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and is currently advisor to the President of the Turkish Bar Association. Prof. Dr. Necdet Basa, who has scientific studies on “Legal and Political Consequences of the Closed Maraş Opening”, international armed conflicts, cyber conflicts and terrorism, who is the Deputy Director of the Near East Institute and a faculty member at the Near East and Kyrenia Universities, who teaches Basic Legal Knowledge courses at the TRNC Police School Directorate, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Erdi Şafak gave lectures on “The Cyprus Issue in the Context of International Law” and Mahmut Özçınar, who has been the Mayor of Güzelyurt for seven uninterrupted terms since 1998, President of the Union of Turkish Cypriot Municipalities and UCLG-MEWA Council Member, Council of Europe Representative and Co-President of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities, gave lectures on “UBP Municipalism from the Perspective of Local Governments and the Projects Contributed to the TRNC”.

The fourth week program of the Politics Academy will be held on April 6, 2024 (Saturday) between 15:00-17:45 at the NEU Grand Library between the hours of 15:00-17:45 with the following topics: Özdemir Tokel's “Major Projects and Targeted New Projects brought to the TRNC under the UBP Governments”, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ağa's “Economic Values Created under the UBP Governments”, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Gökçekuş's “Water Problem in Cyprus, Turkey and the World and Solution Proposals” and Hikmet Eren's “Integration Process between Turkic Republics and the Role of Non-Governmental Organizations”. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Gökçekuş's lectures on "Water Problems in Cyprus, Turkey and the World and Solution Proposals" and Hikmet Eren's lectures on "The Integration Process between the Turkish Republics and the Role of Non-Governmental Organizations" will continue.
