The Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic convened today under the chairmanship of UBP MP Committee Chairman Emrah Yeşilırmak. At the meeting, the general discussion of one draft law and one legislative proposal was completed.
According to the statement made by the Assembly of the Republic, the Committee discussed the “Draft Law on the Establishment, Duties and Working Principles of the Department of Inpatient Treatment Institutions (Amendment)” and the “Municipalities (Amendment) Law Proposal” on its agenda.
The Committee first discussed the “Draft Law on the Establishment, Duties and Working Principles of the Department of Inpatient Treatment Institutions (Amendment)”, completed its general discussion and started to discuss it article by article. The Committee will continue its work on the Draft Law at its next meeting.
Officials from the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Finance, Personnel Department, Department of Inpatient Treatment Institutions, Medical-Is, KTAMS, KAMU-SEN, Cyprus Turkish Nurses and Midwives Union and KAMU-İŞ attended the committee meeting as invitees and presented their views.
The Committee then discussed the “Municipalities (Amendment) Law Proposal” prepared by UBP İskele Deputy Emrah Yeşilırmak and UBP Nicosia Deputy Ahmet Savaşan and completed its general discussion and started to discuss it item by item. The Committee will continue its work on the proposal at its next meeting.
Officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Interior and the Union of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities, who attended the meeting as invited guests, presented their views on the issue to the committee.
The Committee meeting chaired by UBP MP Emrah Yeşilırmak was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Committee, CTP MP Filiz Besim, Committee Members CTP MP Devrim Barçın, UBP MP Fırtına Karanfil and UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan. Independent MP Jale Refik Rogers also took part in the Committee meeting.
