UBP Nicosia District Presidency contributed to the Nicosia Marathon to be held on Sunday, October 22nd in order to keep the names of the Champion Angels alive.
National Unity Party (UBP) Nicosia District Presidency will support the Nicosia Marathon, which will be held on Sunday, October 22nd with the slogan “We Promised for Champions” for the Champion Angels we lost in the earthquake.
UBP Nicosia District Chairman, MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, Nicosia District executives and UBP Nicosia Turkish Municipality Council Members expressed support for the Nicosia Marathon to be held on Sunday, October 22.
The UBP Nicosia District Presidency delegation, including Önder Ecesoy, the Vice President of Nicosia Turkish Municipality, who has been experiencing serious health problems for a while, and Akın Aktunç, who has served as the Vice President of the municipality on behalf of the UBP for many years, received their marathon numbers from Mayor Mehmet Harmancı.

Stating that the UBP accepts “embracing” as a basic principle in local governments, Nicosia District President Ahmet Savaşan stated that UBP council members will give the necessary support to provide the right services to Nicosians as they have done until today. Stating that UBP has shown great sensitivity for the survival of the Champion Angels, Savaşan congratulated Mayor Harmancı and those who contributed to this meaningful organization as well as everyone who contributed.

Stating that everyone living in this country has once again shown that they are a big family, Mehmet Harmancı said that the Ülker Nicosia Marathon has once again shown an important example of solidarity. President Harmancı said that the marathon, which brought together social responsibility and sports, managed to bring people from all over the country together. Thanking Ahmet Savaşan and his team for their support, Harmancı expressed his pleasure to see the whole country united for the Champion Angels with its sponsors, institutions, organizations, civil society, business world and every individual who registered.
