National Unity Party (UBP) District Presidents convened at the Nicosia District Presidency with the agenda of “Political Academy and recent political developments”.
The meeting, which took place at the Nicosia District Presidency and discussed the steps to be taken to strengthen the organizations and the latest political developments, especially the “Political Academy program” planned to start in March, was held with the participation of Nicosia District Chairman, MP Ahmet Savaşan, Famagusta District Chairman Nahit Öncü, Kyrenia District Chairman Bülent Kutay, İskele District Chairman Metin Güllü, Güzelyurt District Chairman Mutlu Atasayan and Lefke District Chairman Adil Özgey.

According to the statement made by the UBP Nicosia District Presidency, the Politics Academy is planned to start with the opening lecture prepared by expert lecturers and UBP Honorary President Derviş Eroğlu on “UBP from Yesterday to Today”.
It was announced that the event will include Retired Rear Admiral Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cihat Yaycı, who brought the concept of “Blue Homeland” to the literature, Prof. Dr. Erol Göka, author of the book “Psychology of Turks, Traces of History Left in Our Soul”, Prof. Dr. Levent Eraslan, President of the Social Media and Digital Security Education Research Center (SODİMER) on “Artificial Intelligence and Politics Relationship”, as well as UBP founders, diplomats, expert lecturers and expert speakers from TRNC universities.

The statement said that the academy will also offer courses on the following topics:
“The founding process of UBP and its importance in Turkish Cypriot political history, the history of the Cyprus problem, the negotiation process, the Annan Plan process and the referendum, the EU membership process of Cyprus, the foundations of the two-state solution model, the Cyprus issue in the context of international law, media literacy, basic concepts and models in economics, Major projects realized during the UBP governments in the TRNC and their contribution to the economy, strategic communication and public administration in politics, UBP municipalism from the perspective of local governments and the projects brought to the TRNC, social structure and family institution, water problem in Cyprus, Turkey and the world and solution proposals, sustainable tourism types and employment opportunities in the TRNC.”
