Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, together with UBP Secretary General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu and UBP Group Deputy Chairman Ahmet Savaşan, inspected the ongoing construction of Güzelyurt State Hospital. Making a statement on the subject, Savaşan noted that Güzelyurt State Hospital is planned to be opened on November 15, 2025.

 

National Unity Party (UBP) Group Deputy Chairman, MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, In a post on his personal social media account, President and Prime Minister Unal Üstel and UBP Secretary General Oguzhan Hasipoglu and the new Güzelyurt State Hospital construction, he stated that they made inspections at the construction site. Savaşan pointed out that the hospital, whose construction is continuing rapidly, is planned to be opened on November 15, 2025.

Noting that with the completion of the new hospital, there will be a significant increase in the capacity of health services in Güzelyurt region Ahmet Savaşan, He also emphasized the transformation process initiated by the Prime Minister Üstel Government in the field of health.

ÜSTEL GOVERNMENT INITIATED TRANSFORMATION IN HEALTH

Dr. Savaşan also gave detailed information about new hospital projects and investments in health infrastructure. The information shared by Savaşan is as follows:

-Girne State Hospital: Construction of the 116-bed capacity hospital has been completed; it is expected to start accepting patients shortly.

-Güzelyurt State Hospital: Phase 4 works are nearing the end. The opening date has been set for November 15, 2025.

-Karpaz Regional Hospital (Pamuklu): The project has been completed and is in the tender process. Groundbreaking is planned for 2025.

-New Nicosia State Hospital: The project design process has been completed and is in the tender phase. The foundation will be laid in 2025.

-Dr. Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital: Project design work is underway for extensive renovation of existing buildings and units.

NEW HEALTH CENTERS READY FOR SERVICE

Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, He also drew attention to the health centers completed and ready to receive patients in some regions as follows:

-Lapta, Değirmenlik and Maras Health Centers: 3 centers are completed and ready to accept patients.

-Dikmen Health Center: The project is ready and the construction phase will begin.

STATE LABORATORY REOPENS

Stating that the 2,200 square meter new building of the State Laboratory, which became unusable as a result of a fire in 2016, has been completed, Savaşan said that the laboratory, whose international accreditation process is ongoing, is planned to be put back into service in September 2025.
