At the international meeting titled “Competitive Advantages of Northern Cyprus in Health Tourism” organized under the auspices of Deputy Prime Minister Fikri Ataoğlu, the competitive advantages of TRNC in health tourism were discussed. 40 delegates from 12 countries attended the event where robotic rehabilitation, reproductive medicine and THY's special flights came to the fore.
The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) continues to promote its potential in the field of health tourism at the international level. The international meeting titled “Competitive Advantages of Northern Cyprus in Health Tourism”, organized by the Cyprus Health Tourism Council under the auspices of the Deputy Prime Minister, Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, with the support of the Ministry of Health and Turkish Airlines, was held at Vuni Palace Hotel.
40 DELEGATES FROM 12 COUNTRIES
12 health tourism professionals from 12 countries attended the meeting; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoglu, Minister of Health Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek, Cyprus Health Tourism Council President and Deputy Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, Dr. Köksal Holoğlu, President of the Turkish Health Tourism Development Council, Orhan Tolun, President of KITSAB, Dr. Remzi Gardiyanoğlu, President of the Association of Self-Employed Physicians, Hayat İzel, President of the Association of Private Hospitals, Assoc. Dr. Savaş Özyiğit, President of the Association of Reproductive Medicine, Hüseyin Oskar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Oscar Group, İbrahim Bağman, CEO, Pınar Ayvaz Arıkan, THY Cyprus Manager, Romatem Health Group and various university hospitals and 40 delegates from 12 countries attended.
ROBOTIC REHABILITATION AND INTERNATIONAL SERVICE QUALITY ON THE AGENDA
During the meeting, the advantages of robotic rehabilitation and physiotherapy services in Northern Cyprus, high success rates in reproductive medicine, the service capacity of university hospitals at international standards and the privileges offered by Turkish Airlines to health tourists were discussed. Participating countries included Turkey, TRNC, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Poland, Croatia, India, Romania, Italy, Russia, Kosovo and the UK.

FİKRİ ATAOĞLU WE CONTRIBUTE TO WORLD HEALTH TOURISM
Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Minister Fikri Ataoglu, Ataoğlu stated that the TRNC's development in health tourism has gained momentum since 2015. Ataoğlu reminded that TRNC assumed the term presidency of the World Health Tourism Council, of which 56 countries are members, last year and emphasized that the work carried out in this process contributed not only to Northern Cyprus but also to global health tourism. Ataoğlu also thanked Dr. Ataoğlu, who pioneered the first barrier-free hotel and robotic rehabilitation center established in the country. Ahmet Savaşan’He also congratulated Hüseyin Oskar and Dr. Köksal Holoğlu for realizing this investment.
HAKAN DİNÇYÜREK: 2025 WILL BE THE YEAR OF STRENGTHENING HEALTH INVESTMENTS
Minister of Health Dr. Hakan Dinçyürek Stating that 2025 will be a year in which health investments will be strengthened, he said that as the ministry, they have taken the necessary steps for the development of health tourism both at the level of legislation and implementation and that they fully support this field.
Ahmet Savaşan: 20 COUNTRIES START DIGITAL PROMOTION DRIVEWE ARE LATER
Speaking at the meeting, Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, He said that the Cyprus Health Tourism Council is the most comprehensive organization representing the health and tourism sector on the island. Stating that 2025 has been declared the year of digital promotion and marketing, Savaşan announced that promotional activities will be carried out in 20 countries in areas such as robotic physical therapy, IVF, plastic surgery and cardiology.
SPECIAL FLIGHT OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEDICAL TOURISTS FROM THY
THY Cyprus Manager Pınar Ayvaz Arıkan announced that in line with the cooperation with the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, tourists who will come to TRNC to receive health services are provided with special conditions and discounted fares.

KÖKSAL HOLOĞLU KKTC-TURKEY COOPERATION INSPIRES THE SECTOR
In his speech, Dr. Köksal Holoğlu, President of the Turkish Health Tourism Development Council, emphasized that cooperation with TRNC is of great importance in terms of health tourism. Holoğlu stated that the robotic physical therapy center and barrier-free hotel investments that Romatem Health Group and Oscar Group brought to Northern Cyprus inspired the sector and thanked all the authorities who supported the project.
