Near East Tourism and Travel Enterprises (YDTSI), which operates under the Near East University (NEU), recently participated in the 2nd International Health Tourism Congress in Antalya, which brought together more than 100 representatives of more than 100 organizations and 400 investors from 50 countries, including Germany, England, India, Spain, Egypt, Thailand and Uzbekistan.
According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, the delegation headed by Ahmet Savaşan, President of NEU Tourism Research and Development Center, participated in the congress where the importance of the European Market and D-8 Countries in Health Tourism, the roles of intermediary institutions and travel agencies in this field were discussed and the representatives of D-8 countries attended the meetings and introduced the TRNC's potential in the field of Health Tourism and NEU's Oral and Dental Health Tourism.
In the statement emphasizing that NEU TARGEM President Ahmet Savaşan said that it is possible to spread tourism to 12 months by bringing alternative tourism types to the country on a sustainable basis, Savaşan said, “We will ensure that our country can get a share from the health tourism pie, which has a size of 100 billion USD worldwide.”.
