“Blood donation, donation of life”
Prominent people in the fields of art, business, sports, health and education of our country participated in the traditional “blood donation, life donation” campaign organized by the Near East University Hospital and called on the public for voluntary and continuous blood donation.
The blood donation campaign, which was initiated to be given to the state hospital for thalassaemia patients, will continue at the NEU Hospital stand at the “41st TRNC International Fair” until June 18. The aim is to contribute to raising awareness in the country about voluntary and continuous blood donation.
Dr. Remzi Gardiyanoğlu, President of the Association of Independent Physicians and Board Member of the Health Tourism Council, Mustafa Kaymak, President of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry, Cemal Gülercan, President of the Young Businessmen's Association, Ahmet Savaşan, Board Member of NEU Hospital and Chairman of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, and theater and cinema artists Osman Alkaş and Hazar Ergüçlü came together to draw attention to the importance of continuous blood donation and gave blood.
Stating that although people want to do good in public health or social issues such as blood donation, these responsibilities are postponed due to many temporal and situational factors, Ahmet Savaşan, Member of the Board of Directors of NEU Hospital and Chairman of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, emphasized that blood donation in our country usually comes to the agenda when a close friend or relative is in need.
