National Unity Party (UBP), AK Party from the Republic of Turkey and Yeni Azerbaijan Party from Azerbaijan jointly organized the “Young Power of the Turkic World: One Nation Three States Vision Workshop” started today at Kyrenia Acapulco Resort Hotel.
The workshop started with a moment of silence followed by the National Anthem and the Azerbaijani National Anthem, and the introductory video of the protocol signed between the National Unity Party, the AK Party and the New Azerbaijan Party was watched.
President of the Republic Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Unal Üstel, Some ministers, MPs, representatives of UBP Youth Branches, Ak Parti and Yeni Azerbaijan Party delegations and many guests took part in the workshop.
The opening speeches of the workshop were delivered by the President of the Republic Ersin Tatar, Prime Minister Unal Üstel, UBP Group Deputy Chairman, Workshop General Coordinator Ahmet Savaşan, UBP Secretary General Oguzhan Hasipoglu, AK Party Ankara Deputy Zehranur Aydemir, UBP Youth Branch Representative Mahmut Hüdaverdi, AK Party Youth Branch President Yusuf İbiş and New Azerbaijan Party Youth Branch President Bahtiyar Islamov.

ÜSTEL: TODAY, WE BRING TOGETHER THE EXCITEMENT, SPIRIT AND VISION OF A NATION AND THE YOUTH OF THREE STATES
Prime Minister Unal Üstel He started his speech by expressing his happiness to be together on the occasion of the workshop.
“Today, we are bringing together the excitement, spirit and vision of young people of one nation, three states.” Üstel said that the relations with the Turkic world have crossed a historical threshold after 2022.
Stating that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus becoming an observer member of the Organization of Turkic States is not only a diplomatic development, Üstel said, “This step has been the re-embrace of a heart geography after years. It has been the revival of ties that have been neglected for centuries. This revival was realized with the support and leadership of Motherland Turkey. Now another brother has joined this resurrection, supporting it wholeheartedly. Its name is Azerbaijan.”.
Stating that the interest shown by Motherland Turkey as well as Azerbaijan to the Turkish Cypriot people has brought the relations at the state level to a historical peak in a short time, Üstel noted that mutual visits have started, political relations have strengthened, economic contacts have increased and cultural ties have deepened.
Referring to the protocol signed between the National Unity Party, the AK Party and the New Azerbaijan Party, Üstel said, “This cooperation has built a bridge of heart extending to the youth of the three states. This workshop was built on that heart bridge.”.
“Stating that the understanding of ”One Nation, Three States" is not just a slogan but a vision, Üstel stated that the subject of this vision is the youth.
“There is youth in this hall. There is love, respect, heart bond and unshakable brotherhood.” Üstel said that young people now think together, learn together and build a common future together.
“WE ARE WALKING TO THIS FUTURE WITH YOUNG PEOPLE”
Stating that the Turkish Cypriot people have made a lot of efforts to take their rightful place in the world and to lift the unjust isolation, Üstel referred to the processes experienced in the past.
Stating that the Turkish Cypriot people stood firm despite the isolation, Üstel reminded that the Azerbaijani people did not remain silent against the occupation in Karabakh for years and walked with patience, faith and determination.
Stating that the three states fought for the same values at different times in history, Üstel reminded the call of the President of the Republic of Turkey Erdoğan for the recognition of the TRNC at the United Nations General Assembly.
Reminding that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also openly supported the call for recognition, Üstel mentioned that he took a brave and principled stance in the Organization of Turkic States in order for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to reach the position it deserves.
Stating that the Greek side tried to put pressure on the Organization of Turkish States, Üstel said, “But Motherland Turkey and brother Azerbaijan did not give way to these pressures.”.
“The meeting here of three youth organizations marching towards the same goal is a source of hope for all of us. We are walking from a common past to a common future. We are walking to this future with the youth. ” Üstel thanked those who contributed to the realization of the workshop.
Ahmet Savaşan: THE STRONGEST GUARANTEE OF THIS UNITY IS THE YOUTH WHO ARE THE ENERGY, HOPE AND FUTURE OF THE TURKIC WORLD
UBP Group Deputy Chairman, Workshop General Coordinator Ahmet Savaşan, expressed his pleasure to bring together the young representatives of Turkey, Azerbaijan and the Republic of Northern Cyprus at the “Young Power of the Turkic World: 1 Nation 3 State Vision” Workshop, he expressed his pleasure to bring together the young representatives of Turkey, Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
Pointing out that the workshop was not only a meeting of the youth of the three sister states, Savaşan noted that the event was also the beginning of the re-kneading of the common history, culture and future with the young mind.
“The understanding of ‘One Nation, Three States’ is not just a discourse; it is the expression of our unity of heart, our commonality of destiny and our strategic vision.” Savaşan underlined that the strongest guarantee of this unity is the youth, who are the energy, hope and future of the Turkic world.
Savaşan said that ideas will be shared, joint projects will be developed and solidarity will be strengthened in many topics from culture to politics, from digital transformation to education, from entrepreneurship to volunteerism, and that “The steps taken in each session will be valuable bricks on the road to the great Turkish unity of tomorrow.”.
Addressing the youth in his speech, Savaşan said: “Thanks to your determination, productivity and belief, the youth of the Turkic world will have a say not only in their own societies but also on international platforms and will reach the power to set an example.”.
Savaşan thanked those who contributed to the organization of the workshop and gave information about the workshop program. At the end of his speech, Savaşan wished the workshop to be beneficial.
OĞUZHAN HASIPOĞLU: TODAY WE ARE ORGANIZING THE FIRST MAJOR EVENT OF THIS PROTOCOL
UBP Secretary General Oguzhan Hasipoglu, He stated that the “Young Power of the Turkic World: One Nation, Three States Vision Workshop” is a first and he stated that it is both difficult and honorable to realize the first one.
Stating that they started a process as AK Party, New Azerbaijan Party and National Unity Party, Hasipoğlu noted that they signed a protocol and today they realized the first big event of this protocol.
Giving information about the process, Hasipoğlu said that Prime Minister Unal Üstel’s vision, that they have been working with the representatives of the AK Party and Yeni Azerbaijan Party and that the agreement has reached the signature stage.
Hasipoğlu pointed out that AK Party Deputy Chairman Numan Kurtuluş and New Azerbaijan Party Deputy Chairman Tayyip Udugov came to the island and laid the first seeds of the treaty, and then the treaty was signed by AK Party Deputy Chairman Efkan Ala, New Azerbaijan Party Deputy Chairman Tayyip Udugov and Prime Minister Unal Üstel signed by the President of the United States.
In his speech, Hasipoğlu also pointed out the injustices suffered by the TRNC state in the international arena and stated that the treaty is very important for both the state and the National Unity Party that founded this state.
Hasipoğlu stated that the treaty is the first international agreement in terms of parties in terms of politics and said, “Parties can have easier relations with the outside world and communication with other parties. For example, our party is represented in the Council of Europe, in the European Conservative Group.”.
Reminding that they participated as observers in the Asian Union of Political Parties in Cambodia last year, Hasipoğlu said that they will continue to organize such workshops to include other Turkic states in order to be more visible in the international arena.
Hasipoğlu thanked those who contributed to the organization of the workshop and emphasized that they attach importance to this workshop because the text that will emerge at the end of the workshop will be a road map for them.
Noting that they organized the workshop especially during the week of May 19, Hasipoğlu said, “On this occasion, we commemorate the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.”.
Hasipoğlu stated that Mustafa Kemal Atatürk said “Independence is my character” and that the Founding President Rauf Raif Denktash’s words “I call you independence, I call you my state” are important for them.
“We would like to thank the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who said that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should be recognized in the international arena, and the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who said three times at the United Nations General Assembly that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should be recognized.” Hasipoğlu expressed his belief that the TRNC will take its rightful place in the international arena.
Hasipoğlu finally said, “On this occasion, may our first workshop be auspicious. Inshallah, we will repeat these studies in Turkey and Azerbaijan in the future.”.
ZEHRANUR AYDEMIR WE SHARE A COMMON HISTORY, LANGUAGE AND DESTINY

Noting that they came together today with the understanding of “One Nation, Three States”, Aydemir said that they share a common history, language and most importantly a common destiny.
Stating that they once again emphasized their deep-rooted and strong ties, common goals and visions with this meeting, Aydemir said, “Our brothers and sisters here in the TRNC hosted us very well. We visited Muratağa, Sandallar and Atlılar Martyrs” Cemetery and then Maraş. As we see the efforts and prices paid for our existence and independence, we understand very well how valuable it is for each young person to keep this memory alive and to pass it on to future generations.".
Reminding that one of the first overseas legs of Teknofest was held in Azerbaijan, Aydemir mentioned that it took place with great participation and enthusiasm and said, “We had the opportunity to present the projects we produced as young people to our brothers and sisters in Azerbaijan.”.
“Noting that they will explain the vision of ”One Nation, Three States" in a stronger way, Aydemir continued his speech by recalling a quote by the President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
“Our Azerbaijani brothers and our TRNC youth are the cornerstones of this great vision,” said Aydemir, adding that as the youth of the Turkic world, they have to act shoulder to shoulder in every field.
“I believe that it will be a valuable organization not only to exchange ideas but also to reveal a common spirit and vision. We will work together, we will produce together.” Aydemir said that they can build sustainable projects together.
MAHMUT HUDAVERDİ: WE WILL WORK TOGETHER, WE WILL WALK TOGETHER AND WE WILL SUCCEED TOGETHER
UBP Youth Branch Representative Mahmut Hüdaverdi started his speech by saying, “Welcome to our workshop on ‘One Nation, Three States’”.
On behalf of the UBP Youth Branches, Hüdaverdi expressed his great pleasure to see his brothers and sisters from the AK Party and the New Azerbaijan Party in the TRNC and to attend the workshop together and said, “This is the homeland of the Turkish Cypriots... This is a state that was established with the great support and sacrifices of Motherland Turkey at the end of our people's heroic, glorious resistance and defense of our national and religious values.”.
Hüdaverdi noted that the organization of a workshop on ’One Nation, Three States“ with the participation of the youth of the National Unity Party, AK Party and Yeni Azerbaijan Party on the 106th anniversary of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's departure to Samsun to start the Turkish War of Independence was not a coincidence, but a necessity and a requirement of a lofty purpose.
The Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's words “O Turkish youth! Your first duty is to preserve and defend Turkish independence and the Turkish Republic forever. This is the sole basis of its existence and future.” Hüdaverdi reminded that the world needs peace and justice today more than ever.
“Bloody wars, terrorism, income inequality, hunger, thirst, natural massacres, injustices, immorality, and the selfishness of states that see themselves as great are going on in full force.” Hüdaverdi said that the United Nations, which was established after the Second World War to bring peace and cooperation to the world and to ensure international law and justice, is no longer able to function.
Hüdaverdi stated that the five permanent members of the Security Council and their supporters have perverted the United Nations from its purpose for their own interests and turned it into an ineffective organization.
Hüdaverdi stated that it was not in vain that the “World is bigger than five” statement of the President of the Motherland Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was highly appreciated.
“We must unite our strengths, capacities and energies to make the world a more just and peaceful place to live in.” Hüdaverdi said that they are still under embargo because the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council ignore the realities in Cyprus for their own regional interests.
“They want Turkey and the Turkish nation to have no influence on the island of Cyprus, which is still the most important island in the world, in a position that can be effective on energy and trade routes.” Hüdaverdi said that they will work together, walk together and succeed together.
Hüdaverdi said, “This workshop is not just an exchange of ideas; it will be the first steps of the march of the three states, which are united around a common ideal, to a stronger and more prosperous future with confident steps.”.
BAHTİYAR İSLAMOV: THE STRENGTH OF THE TURKIC WORLD IS OUR VISION OF THE FUTURE AND OUR IDENTITY THAT COMPLEMENTS EACH OTHER
Bahtiyar Islamov, President of the Youth Branch of the New Azerbaijan Party, expressed his great pleasure to be together in the TRNC today.
“Referring to the ”One Nation Three States Vision", Islamov stated that the power of the Turkic world is important.
Noting that the youth of all three countries should unite in modern values and a common goal, Islamov emphasized the importance of the spirit of unity and spoke about future goals.
Stating that the strength of the Turkic world cannot be evaluated only with the past of history, Islamov said, “The strength of the Turkic world is our view of the future and our identity that complements each other.”.
Stating that as young people of different branches of a family, they should unite in common goals, Islamov noted that this is their greatest advantage.
Noting that the will of the leaders set an example for the youth, Islamov drew attention to the importance of the workshop organized jointly by the National Unity Party, AK Party and the New Azerbaijan Party.
Noting that young people are the guardians of common values and the founders of the future, Islamov said: “Our family is the Turkic world.”.
YUSUF IBIS: THE VISION OF ‘ONE NATION, THREE STATES’ ALSO IMPLIES THE CONSTRUCTION OF A COMMON FUTURE
AK Party Youth Wings President Yusuf İbiş also wished that the workshop would be beneficial.
“We organized a very big youth festival with our President within the scope of May 19 events, where we came together with young people in Turkey.” said İbiş, emphasizing the importance of the workshop in his speech and expressing his pleasure to be together today.
Ibiş thanked those who contributed to the organization and stated that the title of the workshop summarizes everything.
“Noting that the vision of ”One Nation, Three States" also expresses the construction of a common future, İbiş emphasized that this vision is a strong reflection of the will of the nation.
Stating that as AK Party Youth Branches, they believe that a strong future will come from a strong youth, İbiş said that they struggle for this.
Noting that they took over the duty a short time ago and carried out many activities, İbiş said, “As the youth of the Turkic world, we are not only the heirs of the past, but also the architects of the present and the future.”.
“If a new world is to be built, the young people in this hall have a lot to say,” İbiş said, adding that they will speak out from here together as the youth of three states and one heart.
Referring to the protocol signed between the National Unity Party, AK Party and Yeni Azerbaijan Party, İbiş said, “We are the descendants of an ancestor who wrote epics in the past. We are also the ones who will write epics in the future. The voice rising from here is the voice of Turkish youth. We will sing this voice even louder and strengthen it even more.”.
The workshop, which will continue throughout the day, will end after the presentation of plaques and taking a family souvenir photo.
