On its first day, the Cyprus Children's Carnival welcomed over ten thousand children from all over the country.

 

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, Cyprus, the Cyprus Children's Carnival, which welcomed over 10 thousand children from schools all over the country on its first day, postponed the 2nd day activities to May with the decision of the Organizing Committee due to the weather opposition on April 23rd.

We are very proud to host the Cyprus Children's Carnival, which took place with an intense participation in Park Near East, which was brought to our country with the initiative of our Founding Rector Dr. Suat İ. Reminding that the Carnival, which was hosted by NEU at Park Near East, was an event approved by the Ministry of National Education, Savaşan said that it came to life with the contributions of the TRNC Prime Ministry, Nicosia, Kyrenia, Gönyeli, Güzelyurt, Gazi Famagusta Municipalities, Türkcell as well as many other stakeholders.

Stating that the idea of children from all over the country gathering in a single area and participating in a free event was a valuable idea, Savaşan thanked all the stakeholders who contributed to the carnival project, especially Swiss Communications Director Can Sarvan. Finally, Savaşan wished for much more coordinated and bigger carnivals in the coming years.

We decided to postpone the second part of the carnival on Thursday, April 23rd to May, including the Fikri Karayel concert, due to the weather opposition. We will hold all the events planned for Thursday, April 23rd in May. We would like to thank everyone for your great interest in the Cyprus Children's Carnival 2015. Our aim is to meet the demand in a carnival where there is so much demand. The stampede experienced today has been a great pride for us. Of course, we also had shortcomings. We will carry out much more organized events in the coming years by making good use of the beauties and shortcomings that have emerged.
