PetFest I, organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine within the scope of the 25th anniversary events of Near East University, was held with a great participation.
According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, PetFest I, one of the social responsibility projects of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, was held with the participation of many animal lovers with the main objectives of instilling animal love at a young age, as well as reminding people of their responsibilities towards stray animals and contributing to the formation of public awareness on this issue. In the statement, it was stated that within the scope of PetFest I activities, there was an award-winning painting exhibition with the theme of “animal love”, a beauty contest for kopecks, as well as a show by Rhino, the star of the Talent You contest, who entered the Guiness World Record Book in 2013.

“In the competition, which was held in two categories with the theme of ”Animal Love" and a large number of works were submitted, the paintings were evaluated by the Faculty of Fine Arts faculty members, the Faculty of Education, the Department of Painting Education and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine representatives, and the children who ranked among the 60 paintings that were entitled to be exhibited were awarded with i-pads.

Prof. Dr. Dilek Arsoy and a representative selected from among the participants took part in the jury, and it was reported that the dogs that ranked in the categories of “Most Sympathetic”, “Most Handsome Prince”, “Most Beautiful Princess“ and ”Most Fancy" were presented with cups under the sponsorship of Kaner Group, as well as Eukanuba professional dry food.
