MINISTER OF TOURISM AND ENVIRONMENT ATAOĞLU: “THE WORLD RECOGNIZED THE HEALTH TOURISM OPPORTUNITIES OF OUR COUNTRY”
TRNC was represented at the Health Tourism Forum organized by the World Health Tourism Council under the auspices of King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein in Amman, the capital of Jordan, where the world's health tourism map was determined.
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the TRNC was represented by Fikri Ataoğlu, Minister of Tourism and Environment and Ahmet Savaşan, President of the Health Tourism Council at the World Health Tourism Forum, which was held in Amman, the capital of Jordan, between February 25-27 and attended by more than 500 delegates from 42 countries including Jordan, Algeria, Azerbaijan, Belgium, Canada, Canada, China, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Turkey, Qatar, Romania, Singapore, Spain, Ukraine, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
THE WORLD'S HEALTH TOURISM MAP HAS BEEN DETERMINED
Minister of Tourism and Environment Ataoğlu was presented with a plaque for his contribution to the Forum, which was attended by ministries, government representatives and ambassadors from many countries, as well as hospitals, medical service providers, health and accreditation organizations, insurance, airlines, agencies, hotels, wellness facilities, medical device manufacturers, pharmacists and tourism professionals.
JORDANIAN PRIME MINISTER AND MINISTERS MET WITH ATAOĞLU
Jordanian Prime Minister Hani Mulqi, Princess Ghaida Talal, Princess Dina Mired, Ministers of Health and Tourism, as well as the Founding President of World Health Tourism Emin Çakmak and President Fawzi Al-Hammouri visited the Northern Cyprus Stand and met with Ataoğlu and exchanged views on the steps that can be taken to improve cooperation opportunities.

Ahmet Savaşan, President of the Health Tourism Council, participated in the “Globalization in Health Tourism” session and said that the Health Tourism market is growing day by day and this field is supported with great interest in more than fifty countries.
Savaşan, together with the delegates attending the session, discussed many issues, including global health tourism targets, legislation, accreditation, education and research, expanding the scope of health travel, marketing and branding, and ethics.
