Cyprus Health Tourism Council will participate in the marathon organized traditionally by Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) with nearly a hundred people.
The President of the Council Ahmet Savaşan and the members of the Board of Directors visited LTB President Mehmet Harmancı and registered for the marathon to be held today to contribute to the purchase of the vehicle necessary for the transportation of children in SOS Children's Village to educational and social activities.

Stating that the marathon, which is traditionally organized by the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (LTB) every year, will take place on Sunday, October 22 this year with the slogan “Nicosia runs with Turkcell, SOS Children's Village Smiles”, LTB President Harmancı thanked the Health Tourism Council for its meaningful support. Underlining that the Health Tourism Council is sensitive to many issues, especially cancer, in terms of social responsibility, Harmancı said that the marathon will add dynamism to the city and called on everyone to participate in the marathon.

Stating that the marathon was supported as one of the planned social responsibility projects of the council for 2017, Savaşan expressed his belief that this project will make a significant contribution to the creation of social environments for children where relationships are essential and to support their emotional development in this way. Stating that such projects create an opportunity for volunteers to show their sensitivity towards social events, Savaşan added that such activities are also instrumental in internalizing the awareness of social responsibility in the country.
