Ahmet Savaşan Ali Başman will win and a new period of execution will begin

National Unity Party (UBP) Nicosia MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, He stated that the by-election to be held on June 25 has become inevitable. Savaşan also pointed out that with the UBP's number of seats in the Parliament reaching 25, the opposition will have to change its attitude, the repeated calls for early elections will end and the opposition will have to make evaluations based on the actions.

“A STABLE AND NEW PERIOD OF EXECUTION WILL BEGIN”

Making evaluations on the agenda in the television program he attended, UBP MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, Stating that it has become inevitable to hold by-elections at the current stage and that stability will be voted in this election, he said, “UBP will come out of this test with success. It can be taken for granted that our candidate Ali Başman will win this election. Our opponents are disorganized and unable to put forward a coherent view. It is not even clear what they want to do for the TRNC. Since our number of deputies in the parliament will reach 25 with the election of Mr. Ali, it will not be possible to form a government without the UBP or to decide on early elections. The new period will create a more suitable ground for program-based action. Of course, the TRNC people will benefit from this,’ he said.

Dr. Savaşan said, “It is obvious that there are important problems in our country. One of the most important reasons for this is the short lifespan of the governments and the inability to carry out even the actions with medium-term goals. With our victory in the by-election, this problem will be solved and we will have another 3.5-year period of execution ahead of us.”.

Ahmet Savaşan, stated that the UBP's victory in the by-election will also affect the behavior of the opposition and said, “With Ali Başman winning the by-election, the opposition will have to think long-term. Instead of calling for early elections every day, it will have to intelligently evaluate, criticize or contribute to the actions or bills brought to the agenda by the UBP. Ali Başman's victory will change the CTP, especially the main opposition, in a positive way and will enable the CTP to start doing its real duty.”.
