UBP MP, Deputy Group Deputy Chairman Ahmet Savaşan emphasized the pioneering role of Dr. Fazıl Küçük in the Turkish Cypriot people's struggle for existence and said, “We must protect the legacy left by Küçük for peace and stability.”.
National Unity Party (UBP) MP, Group Deputy Chairman Ahmet Savaşan, peace and stability Dr. Fazil Kucuk’s legacy will be possible by protecting the legacy he left behind.
According to the statement made by UBP, Savaşan, Dr. Fazil Kucuk’s death on the 41st anniversary of his death.
In his message, Savaşan emphasized the pioneering role of Küçük in the Turkish Cypriot people's struggle for existence. Savaşan stated that Dr. Küçük, who courageously opposed ENOSIS and always prioritized social interests, was a unique leader with his populism and determination to struggle.
Savaşan said that Dr. Küçük enlightened the public with the People's Voice newspaper and made history with his organizationalism, adding that he was a great leader and statesman who paved the way for the TRNC.
Savaşan also emphasized that the attitude of the Greek Cypriot Administration of Southern Cyprus prevents a federal partnership and that peace and stability on the island will be possible by protecting the legacy left by Dr. Küçük and said: “Dr. Fazil Kucuk’ü with love, respect and gratitude.”.
