UBP Deputy Secretary General Ahmet Savaşan announced that the New Güzelyurt State Hospital will be opened on November 15, 2025. Stating that they examined the construction on-site with Prime Minister Ünal Üstel, Savaşan emphasized that an important transformation has been initiated with new hospitals, centers and laboratory projects in health.

UBP Deputy Secretary General Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, In a statement made on his social media account, he announced that the work is continuing intensively to open the New Güzelyurt State Hospital, which will be brought to the Güzelyurt region, on November 15, 2025.

Savaşan, UBP President and Prime Minister at the hospital under construction Unal Üstel and emphasized that the process was closely followed by Prime Minister Üstel.

Pointing out that the Üstel government has initiated a significant transformation in health, Savaşan also shared with the public the latest information on newly built and renovated hospital projects, health centers and the state laboratory.

NEW HOSPITAL PROJECTS

  • Kyrenia State Hospital: Construction of the 116-bed capacity hospital has been completed. It is planned to start accepting patients shortly.
  • Guzelyurt State Hospital: Phase 4 works are nearing the end. November 15, 2025 is targeted to be put into service.
  • Karpaz Regional Hospital - Pamuklu: The project has been completed and the groundbreaking is planned for September.
  • New Nicosia State Hospital: The 320-bed first phase has been laid and is expected to be completed within 2 years.
  • Dr. Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital Renovation: Project design works for radical changes in existing buildings and units are continuing rapidly.

NEW HEALTH CENTERS

  • Lapta Health Center: It has been renovated and is now accepting patients.
  • Değirmenlik Health Center: It was rebuilt and started receiving patients.
  • Maras Health Center: It has just been built and started receiving patients.
  • Dikmen Health Center: The project has been prepared and construction will start in 2025.

STATE LABORATORY

The new 2,200 square meter building of the State Laboratory, which burned down in 2016, is nearing completion.

The laboratory, which is in the process of international accreditation, is expected to be put into service in 2025.
