Cyprus Health Tourism Council President, UBP MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, The UN Secretary-General pointed out that all kinds of illegal attempts and attacks against the legitimate government and its institutions in Turkey cause great damage to democracy, social peace, economy and prosperity.
Stating that on July 15th, Turkey stood up to the heinous attempt together with its nation, demonstrated one of the most meaningful solidarities in its history, and came together on the common denominator of democracy, and gained from this attempt Ahmet Savaşan, continued his statement on the subject as follows:
“July 15, 2016 has gone down in history as one of the many victories and examples of heroism won in unity and solidarity by the beloved Turkish Nation, of which we are an integral part. With the treacherous uprising, Turkey's democratic structure, constitutional order, parliamentary system, national integrity and internal peace were brazenly attacked and the balances both in Turkey and in the region were tried to be changed. On the anniversary of July 15th, when the Supreme Turkish Nation suppressed the heinous attempt made by FETÖ to seize the government illegitimately, to suppress the will of the nation in a bloody way, and to create a minority authority over the people dependent on foreign powers, I respectfully salute those who took to the streets with determination for the survival of their country without thinking about themselves, their families and their future, just like all the individuals of the Turkish Cypriot people who know the value of freedom and democracy very well and who showed the world that they stand by Turkey as an inseparable whole with the Turkish people in this process, and I commemorate our brothers and sisters who became veterans and martyrs for this cause with gratitude.”
