Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu received the Union of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Health Tourism Specialization President Zeynep Hale and the accompanying delegation.

In his speech at the reception, Ataoğlu said that they are working to ensure that Northern Cyprus can get more share in the field of Health Tourism, which is increasing in importance day by day in the world.
Underlining that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has achieved a significant success in protecting the health of its people and tourists in the country during the pandemic process, Minister Ataoğlu said: “Our country Northern Cyprus has been one of the countries that managed the pandemic best in terms of cases, recovery, number of deaths and treatment facilities among developed countries and tourism competitor countries in the Mediterranean basin. With the effect of this success, the confidence in our country in the international arena has also increased. Both the positive impact of the success we have achieved and the activities carried out by the council together with its members in the international arena, the products offered in Northern Cyprus by combining health and tourism services are increasing in demand day by day.”.
Stating that they are working to develop the existing tourism types in Northern Cyprus with the internal dynamics of the Ministry and the support of Motherland Turkey, Minister Ataoğlu underlined that they are simultaneously taking steps to develop alternative tourism areas with high added value such as Health Tourism, and said that they are about to complete the work that will pave the way for health tourism investments to come to Northern Cyprus from next year.
At the end of his speech, Minister Fikri Ataoğlu expressed his belief that the work to be carried out with the counterparts of the delegation of the Health Tourism Specialization Presidency of the Union of Turkish Travel Agencies, which is in Northern Cyprus at the invitation of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, will improve the cooperation between the two countries in the field of Health Tourism.

In her speech at the visit, Zeynep Hale, President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB) Health Tourism Specialization, thanked Minister Fikri Ataoğlu for his support for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of Health Tourism and said that their goal is to get results as soon as possible with the support of the Ministry of Tourism and the work to be carried out by the Cyprus Health Tourism Council and the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TURSAB).
At the end of her speech, Zeynep Hale added that they will hold various meetings with the President of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, as well as the President of KITSAB, the President of the Private Hospitals Association and tourism professionals during the two days they will be on the island. At the end of the visit, Zeynep Hale, President of the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Health Tourism Specialization, presented a plaque to Minister Ataoğlu for his support for the development of cooperation in the field of Health Tourism between the two countries.
