“We have opened the door to embrace the world,” Prime Minister Ünal Üstel said during his visits to Minareliköy and Gaziköy.

National Unity Party (UBP) President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel continued his regional visits with Minareliköy and Gaziköy.

President of the Republican Assembly Zorlu Töre, Interior Minister Dursun Oğuz, Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, UBP Secretary General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Nicosia District Chairman and MP Ahmet Savaşan and regional officials of the party were also present.

In his messages, Üstel emphasized the importance of maintaining stability by maintaining unity and solidarity.

Üstel said, “Our problem is the TRNC. Our problem is to keep our state, which we are proud of, alive. We will continue on our way with determination. No one can turn us from our path,” he said.

Emphasizing that they have now entered a new path after the historic call made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the UN, Üstel said, “The door has opened on our new path. We have opened the door. We will walk forward, further forward. We are moving forward in embracing and recognizing the world. We will improve our cooperation with countries that want to cooperate with us in tourism, economy, culture and sports. We will continue to speak on every platform and make our voices heard.”.

“WE WILL STRENGTHEN OUR SECTORS”

Üstel also said, “We will make all our sectors more contemporary, more modern, stronger without lagging behind the times. If necessary, we will make our sectors ready with projects and laws. When necessary, our government will put its hand under the stone as always. With low-interest loan packages and grants, we will do whatever we can for our sectors, to make them strong on our new path, to make them strong enough to compete with the world. As we work, produce and receive the appreciation of our people, some people are disturbed. They only criticize, but we continue on our way.”.

Üstel also noted that the waste of time with dreams of federation in Cyprus has come to an end and that they are walking step by step towards the goal of embracing the Turkish Cypriot People with the world with the policy of sovereign equality.

“WE REALIZED FIRSTS IN HISTORY”

Pointing out that they are providing all kinds of support to the sectors, especially social premium support, despite the global crises, Üstel gave the good news that they will announce a new loan package in addition to the My First Home Loan, which attracted great interest from young people.

”For the first time in history, we are giving great incentives to our farmers and animal producers. We provide barley support with zero interest. In the field of energy, we have started to solve the electricity problem with the cable, which has been shelved for years. Feasibility studies will be completed soon. The electricity project with cable will be realized within 5 years at the latest.”.

“THE BATTERY ROAD WILL END!”

Giving important messages on the Pile road, Üstel said, “With foot games, expropriation was facilitated for the Greeks in the buffer zone in Pile. No sound was made. The UN also kept silent. The transition became difficult for our people. There has been a very difficult process until today. Our people could not go home. We started building a road in the buffer zone. They started parceling in the buffer zone. We will build this road. We will finish it patiently. We and the Motherland Republic of Turkey are also determined on this issue.”.

“LET THEM BE UNCOMFORTABLE...”

Üstel also noted the following:

“We will protect our state, we will protect our children, our youth. We will provide our young people with new social housing, we will make them homeowners. We see that the support and appreciation of our people for these initiatives, local reforms, technology and fiber optic steps is increasing day by day. Let some people be disturbed by this support. We look at our people and their thoughts...We take our strength from our people and our party. We will continue to walk in unity with everyone who believes in the UBP and this cause.”

“OUR CONCERN IS NOT THE CONGRESS, IT'S OUR COUNTRY...”

Emphasizing that the congress will be held in September 2024, Üstel said that internal party consultations continue in this direction.

Üstel said, “Some people want to put aside the problems of the country and create pressure for a congress. We will not allow those who try to break our unity. We will continue our reforms. We will continue our urgent law work. The convention is an internal party issue. When the day comes, we will hold our congress. Whoever wants can be a candidate. In the end, the discretion belongs to the members. Let's put all this aside now. We will continue to work. Our concern is not the congress, but our people. As a government, we will continue to serve our country with 29 deputies.’.

Üstel concluded his words as follows:

“In every region we visit, we encounter the intense interest and warm love of our people. Today, we saw the intense interest of our people in Minareliköy and Gaziköy. We will not stop for you, we will work, we will protect our unity and solidarity. We will strengthen our strength with our national unity.”
