Prime Minister Ünal Üstel announced good news for producers during his visits to the region. Üstel emphasized that the incentive premium for producers will continue and feed support for animal producers will continue.

National Unity Party (UBP) President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel continued his regional visits with Famagusta and Iskele.

Üstel first came together with party members and citizens in Famagusta District Building and then in Iskele.

UBP Secretary General Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Interior Minister Dursun Oğuz, Minister of National Education and Culture Nazım Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Hüseyin Çavuş, Minister of Labor and Social Security Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, MPs Sunat Atun, Resmiye Canaltay, Emrah Yeşilırmak, Nicosia District Chairman MP Ahmet Savaşan, Geçitkale - Serdarlı Mayor Halil Kasım, Famagusta District Chairman Nahit Öncü, Iskele District Chairman Metin Güllü, as well as former Finance Minister Mehmet Bayram and prominent figures of the party in the region accompanied Üstel during his visits.

ÜSTEL: THE REWARD FOR THIS INTENSE INTEREST IS SERVICE
National Unity Party President and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel gave important messages on the economy and foreign policy in his speeches.

Thanking the intense interest they encountered in every region, Üstel emphasized that they will continue to respond to this interest with services.

“WE ADDRESSED ISSUES THAT HAD NOT BEEN TOUCHED FOR YEARS”

Pointing out that they have addressed issues such as infrastructure, reforms, internet infrastructure that have not been touched for years, Üstel said, ”We have managed to add significant value to the TRNC in terms of economic, financial and infrastructure with the new Ercan Airport and the electricity project with cable from Turkey, for which feasibility studies have started, and the infrastructure and road projects we have started in the country.”.

“WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT PURCHASING POWER WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF THE COST OF LIVING THREE TIMES A YEAR”

Stating that in order to make the people happy and to support the purchasing power in the face of inflation, they managed to reflect a rare increase in the rate of inflation to public employees, Üstel said, “With the cost of living starting to be paid 3 times a year, we will continue to support the purchasing power in 2024.” Pointing out that they also handled the law numbered 47/2010, Üstel said, “We did what was necessary. We eliminated the victimization. Our only concern is our people,” he said.

Emphasizing that they have given and will continue to give close to a hundred percent increase in social assistance, disability, cemile salaries, Üstel reminded that they will continue to provide social premium support for the private sector and said, “We are reaching out to all segments, with all our means, in a balanced way, we touch our people.”.

GOOD NEWS FOR PRODUCERS FROM PRIME MINISTER ÜSTEL

Giving the good news that the incentive premium for producers and feed support for animal producers will continue, Üstel noted that they will be working hard in the coming period to implement the laws that the country needs.

“Our government of one and a half years has enacted many laws. All these laws are laws that the country needs, laws that will pave the way for the country... We will continue to work hard to lift up all segments and to create a country that is least affected by the global crisis.”.

Üstel stated that they went out to tender based on contemporary norms and developed the internet infrastructure and provided the country with 4.5 G internet, and announced that fiber optic cable will now be laid from home to home.

Üstel said, “This will be one of the first big projects of 2024. We have allocated the financial resources, we will go out to tender and we will take a step closer to our digital island goal with fiber optic cable from home to home.’.

Stating that for 26 years there has not been a national development plan prepared and that they have established a commission with the opinions of all segments, Üstel said that they will announce a 10-year national development plan in the first half of 2024 and emphasized that ’All major projects in this country have the signature of the UBP, which established this state“.

VISIT TO AZERBAIJAN

Pointing out that they paid a historic visit to Azerbaijan together with President Ersin Tatar, Mr. Üstel said

“This was the first such visit in history. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with our President Ersin Tatar in his office. We also held talks with Mr. Aliyev's New Azerbaijan Party. We will have high-level guests from Azerbaijan for our celebrations on November 15. Bridges have been established. Our ties are getting stronger. In 2024, more tourists and students from Azerbaijan will hopefully come to the TRNC.”

Üstel said that sportive and cultural activities between the universities of Turkey-TRNC-Azerbaijan will start in the near future.

Üstel said, “We are now slowly starting to open up to the world. While these beautiful developments are taking place, it is essential to prepare our country for the future and make it more modern. With determination, we will do what is necessary. We will prepare our state in a manner befitting the new world order.”.
