Municipalities (Amendment) Bill continues to be discussed in the committee

The Administrative, Public and Health Affairs Committee of the Assembly of the Republic held a meeting on the articles of the Municipalities (Amendment) Bill. Minister of Interior at the meeting Ziya Öztürkler were also present.

According to the written statement made by the Assembly of the Republic, the committee will meet today with UBP MP Committee Chairman Özdemir Berova chaired by the President.

The Committee will continue its work on the “Municipalities (Amendment) Bill (Y.T.No:1/1/2022)” and “Municipalities (Amendment) Bill (Y.T.No:7/1/2022)”, which it decided to discuss by combining them, at its next meeting.

Officials from the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Interior, Union of Cyprus Turkish Municipalities, Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Değirmenlik Municipality and BES attended the committee meeting as invited guests and made opinions and suggestions on the subject.
