Victories are not only celebrated; such great victories also impose on us the responsibility to perpetuate the gains brought by these victories. Every citizen of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should act with the awareness of this responsibility and crown the victory of July 20th with new achievements. For my part, I am determined to make all kinds of sacrifices to crown the victory of July 20 with new achievements, just like those who were instrumental in the birth of this victory and those who contributed to this day. As long as I live, I will remain loyal to the legacy left to us by our martyrs and veterans by working for the peace and prosperity of the Turkish Cypriot people.
Happy July 20th Peace and Freedom Day, which symbolizes the historical struggle of the Turkish Cypriot people and the victory they achieved as a result. I commemorate with mercy our martyrs who brought us this great victory; I bow with respect in the presence of our heroic veterans.
