The “Ad Hoc and Special Committee to Discuss the European Union Harmonization Draft Laws” convened today.

The ad-hoc and special committee formed in the Assembly of the Republic on EU harmonization bills has been established, National Unity Party (UBP) MP Committee Chairman Oguzhan Hasipoglu under the chairmanship of the “Hal Law Proposal (Proposal Holder İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra, UBP Kyrenia MP) (SC No: 5/1/2022)” and “Hal Bill (SC No: 5/1/2022)”.

The Committee approved the “Hal Law Proposal” (Proposer İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra, UBP Kyrenia MP) (H.Ö No: 5/1/2022), decided to discuss it by combining it under the “Hal Bill (H.Ö No: 5/1/2022)” and started the general discussion of the relevant bill. The Committee will continue its work on the draft law in question at its next meeting.

As the proposer, the Minister of Health İzlem Gürçağ Altuğra was present at the committee meeting, which was also attended by officials from the Ministry of Economy and Energy, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Union of Municipalities and the Nicosia Turkish Municipality.

At the meeting, CTP Deputy Committee Deputy Chairman Şifa Çolakoğlu, UBP MPs Ahmet Savaşan and Hüseyin Çavuş were present. The Committee meeting was also attended by the Minister of Economy and Energy, UBP MP Olgun Amcaoglu, UBP MP Özdemir Berova, CTP MPs Erkut Şahali and Salahi Şahiner also participated.
