Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu met with Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy and the accompanying delegation at the EMITT Tourism Fair in Istanbul. Speaking at the meeting, Ataoğlu stated that there was uneasiness in the tourism sector after the earthquake, but with the support of the Republic of Turkey, 2023 will be spent as planned without any loss.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment Fikri Ataoglu, UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan, TRNC Istanbul Consul General Seniha Birand Çınar, Tourism Promotion and Marketing Department Director Mine Emiroğlu and Cyprus Turkish Tourism and Travel Agencies Association (KITSAB) Vice President Oğuz Akançay visited the Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Nuri Ersoy at the EMITT Tourism Fair held in Istanbul.
Minister Ataoğlu said that there was uneasiness in the tourism sector after the earthquake, but with the support of the Republic of Turkey, 2023 will be spent as planned without any loss.
Stating that Minister Ersoy gave instructions for the promotions made by the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA) to continue for 1 more month, Ataoğlu noted that they will continue more promotional videos and more marketing activities through TGA in the coming period.
Stating that Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism will provide support to direct more tour operators to the country after the opening of the new airport, Ataoğlu said that 2023 will be completed above the targets.
Stating that projects in the field of culture were also discussed, Ataoğlu said that joint plans were made to increase cultural activities between both TURKSOY and the two countries.
Minister Ataoğlu also visited the stands of many agencies, hoteliers and tourism stakeholders participating in the EMITT Fair from TRNC and exchanged ideas.
