Savaşan: “The cancer registration system and cancer map are vital in the fight against cancer. The efforts of the Ministry of Health to map cancer are positive. However, if these studies are completed, the frequency, distribution and density of cancer in our country can be known, the incidence rates and regional densities of the disease can be determined, and thus an effective fight against cancer, which is a public health problem, can be carried out.”
Savaşan: “Our Council's experts in this field warn people that women should regularly examine themselves every month after the age of 20, have a medical examination every three years between the ages of 20-40 and every year after the age of 40, and have a mammogram once at the age of 40 and every year after the age of 45. In addition, breast cancer is a disease that not only affects women but also men, albeit at a very low rate. Awareness is the most important key to cancer prevention. Our Council is developing a modern project on awareness. We will soon put it at the service of our country's people.”
The agenda in the country's politics heated up. Especially in the Republican Assembly, the investigation proposal regarding Minister Kemal Dürüst and Foreign Minister Tahsin Ertuğruloğlu was rejected with a majority of votes. Let's see if CTP President Tufan Erhürman will let this matter go or will this issue get lost in the election chaos? Even more interestingly, in a few months' time, the CTP may have to work in the cabinet with the two ministers in question. Politics is such an interesting issue.
There is no point in talking or writing about this issue at length. Because politics in this country is not taken seriously. I am not saying that someone should be punished, we cannot accuse anyone who has not been proven guilty, but every MP should be accountable.
Anyway, this is not Rome; let's not dream too much.
We had a long conversation with Ahmet Savaşan, Founder and President of the Health Tourism Council. Savaşan is a very valuable name in this country who stands out with his hard work, honesty and works that make a difference.
It's about cancer. Which house doesn't have it? Whenever we hear its name, it is a subject that we do not want to face and avoid talking about. But even if we close our ears and do not want to face it, many of our citizens face this disease.
Instead of running away from cancer, it is necessary to be aware of it and address it. Ahmet Savaşan, together with his team and friends, is obsessed with raising awareness about the fight against cancer. Savaşan's recent activities are actually not new.
Savaşan: “Breast cancer is no longer a fatal but a chronic disease”
Savaşan: “Breast cancer is the fearful dream of all of us, especially our women. In order to prevent cancer and not to be late, we have been carrying out many activities for two years with the experts of our council in this field in order to support other voluntary organizations, especially the Cancer Patients“ Aid Association, which has been fighting alone for many years in our country. Within the framework of breast cancer awareness and awareness month activities, firstly, with the organization of our council and with the support of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and in cooperation with NEU, Nicosia Turkish Municipality and the Aid Association for Cancer Patients, we held a ”Let's be aware, let's protect ourselves from cancer" walk in Nicosia Dereboyu with the participation of more than five hundred people and distributed bilingual brochures.
Secondly, we distributed “let's be aware, let's protect ourselves from cancer” brochures to tourists coming to our country from Ercan Airport and Metehan. Our aim is to draw attention to misconceptions and invite all people, especially our countrymen, to be aware of this issue; as you can appreciate, thanks to the advances in diagnosis and treatment in recent years, we can say that breast cancer is no longer considered a fatal but a chronic disease. We should not forget that one of the most important factors in the success of treatments is early diagnosis as a result of increased awareness. Every year, 1.4 million women in the world are diagnosed with breast cancer. Unfortunately, cancer is one of the leading bleeding wounds in our country. It is important to remember that breast cancer can be treated with early diagnosis.’’
“A cancer map should be drawn up as soon as possible”
Savaşan: “The cancer registration system and cancer map are vital in the fight against cancer. The efforts of the Ministry of Health to map cancer are positive. However, if these studies are completed, the frequency, distribution and density of cancer in our country can be known, the incidence rates and regional densities of the disease can be determined, and thus an effective fight against cancer, which is a public health problem, can be waged. Our Council's experts in this field warn that women should regularly examine themselves every month after the age of 20, have a medical examination every three years between the ages of 20 and 40 and every year after the age of 40, and have a mammogram once at the age of 40 and every year after the age of 45. In addition, breast cancer is a disease that not only affects women but also men, albeit at a very low rate. Awareness is the most important key to cancer prevention. Our Council is developing a modern project on awareness. We will soon put it at the service of our country's people.”

Quote of the Day
O heart, despair of the departed! Everyone looks like a fleeing dream. It's as if a voice from out of nowhere is saying to my ear, "Meetings are left until the judgment.
