The Assembly of the Republic completed the general discussion of the Draft Law on Chemicals on its agenda.

The Ad Hoc and Special Committee formed to discuss the European Union Harmonization Draft Laws convened today at 9.30 am under the chairmanship of UBP MP Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu.

According to the statement made by the Assembly of the Republic, the committee discussed the Chemicals Draft Law on its agenda, completed its general discussion and started to discuss it item by item. The committee will continue its work on the draft law at its next meeting.

Officials from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Environment, the Ministry of Economy and Energy, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, the Personnel Department, the EU Coordination Center, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Chemical Engineers, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce, the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Industry and the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Agricultural Engineers attended the committee meeting and presented their views.

The committee meeting convened under the chairmanship of UBP MP Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Chairman of the Ad Hoc and Special Committee formed to discuss the European Union Harmonization Draft Laws and was attended by Deputy Committee Chairperson CTP MP Şifa Çolakoğlu, committee members CTP MP Fide Kürşat, UBP MPs Ziya Öztürkler and Ahmet Savaşan.
