President of the Health Tourism Council Savaşan published a message on April 23rd.
April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day Chairman of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council issued a message on the 100th anniversary of April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day Ahmet Savaşan, “Even though we are locked in our homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will experience the 100th anniversary of April 23rd in our homes,” he said.
Savaşan included the following statements in his message:
“Today, we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, the symbol of the sovereignty of the Turkish Nation and the stronghold of democracy.
April 23rd, one of the most important turning points in the Turkish Nation's struggle for independence, has become the symbol of national sovereignty and the will of the people. Founded on April 23rd, 1920 with the motto ’Sovereignty unconditionally belongs to the nation“, the Grand National Assembly of Turkey has played a major role in the victory of the Turkish Nation's struggle for independence, and has established national unity and solidarity on the road to the Republic. Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who made the day of the opening of the founding parliament, which led and managed the War of Independence, even more meaningful by presenting it to all the children of the world, showed the value that the cherished Turkish Nation attaches to children. This step taken in the name of peace and brotherhood sets an example for us and the whole world today as it did yesterday.
Just as the Turkish Parliament was a symbol of hope and freedom for the War of Independence, our children are a beacon of hope for the Republic and for us. Today, even though we are locked in our homes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we will bring the enthusiasm of the 100th anniversary of April 23rd to our homes and celebrate this meaningful holiday together with our children.
On this day, when we share the pride and joy of reaching the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, we celebrate the April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day of all our children, who are the guarantee of our future in our country and all over the world.”
