Savaşan: “Our effort is to contribute to the national economy with health tourism”

Ahmet Savaşan, Founding President of the Cyprus Health Tourism Council, participated in the ITB Berlin Tourism Exchange, which brought together 10 thousand 147 tourism organizations from 189 countries, 113 thousand trade visitors and more than 170 thousand holidaymakers and followed by 6000 journalists.

According to the statement made by the Cyprus Health Tourism Council; participating in ITB Berlin, the world's largest tourism fair and stock exchange, which took place for the fiftieth time this year in Berlin, the capital of Germany Ahmet Savaşan‘s contacts with representatives of many countries, especially members of the World Health Tourism Council, in order to send more tourist patients to Northern Cyprus and to develop cooperation between countries.

New agreements have been made...

Stating that there have been important developments in the field of health tourism in Berlin, Savaşan emphasized that their efforts are to contribute to the country's economy by developing health tourism. In this context, Savaşan added that new agreements were made with Germany, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Hungary, Iran, Austria, England, Norway, Denmark, Denmark and Sweden, especially Germany, in ITB in many areas from cancer to heart, from aesthetics to dental, eye and IVF treatments.

Mr. Savaşan, who also met with the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism Mahir Ünal, who visited the Northern Cyprus Stand together with the Turkish Ambassador to Berlin Hüseyin Avni Karslıoğlu and THY General Manager and Board Member Temel Tokil, said that the messages given by the Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism motivated the sector.

Savaşan said, “We had the opportunity to see the determination of Turkey to take the necessary steps for the development of tourism in Northern Cyprus during the sincere meetings of Minister of Culture and Tourism Ünal with Minister Faiz Sucuoğlu and us sector representatives. With both the important initiatives and efforts of our tourists and the realization of the new steps that Turkey intends to take in the short term, a significant dynamism will be experienced in the tourism and economy of Northern Cyprus.”.

Çakmak; Our aim is for Cyprus to get what it deserves from Health Tourism...

The statement said that Emin Çakmak, Honorary President of the World Health Tourism Council, visited the Northern Cyprus Stand and came together with Savaşan and tourism sector representatives. In his speech during the visit, Çakmak emphasized that 30 million people in the world go abroad to find healing and that the annual turnover in this sector has reached 150 Billion Dollars and said that their aim is to contribute to Northern Cyprus to take its rightful place in the Health Tourism pie.
