WARRIOR KKTC IS THE PRODUCT OF THE STRUGGLE FOR EXISTENCE OF THE TURKISH CYPRIOT PEOPLE

UBP MP Ahmet Savaşan, in his message published on the 39th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, said, ’TRNC is the product of the Turkish Cypriot people's struggle for existence.“.

Cyprus Health Tourism Council President and MP Dr. Ahmet Savaşan, who issued a message on the 39th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, emphasized that opposing the TRNC at the current stage means that we are not worthy of having a state, and opposing the existence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus serves to deprive the Turkish Cypriots of administration.

Ahmet Savaşan's message is as follows:

Founded 39 years ago on such a day, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) is not a sudden result, but the result of a long and determined struggle after the separation of our island from the Ottoman Empire.

This struggle started with the raising of the British flag in Nicosia in 1878, and the happy ending on November 15, 1983 was achieved with blood, tears and sacrifice despite thousands of difficulties.

While it is obvious that the negotiations to find a permanent solution to the Cyprus problem on a federal basis in the 39 years since the establishment of the TRNC have not yielded any results, opposing the TRNC, not considering us worthy of having a state, and opposing the existence of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus serves to deprive the Turkish Cypriots of administration.

However, the Turkish Cypriots, our ancestors, are a people who have repeatedly proved that they cannot remain stateless and stateless, and that they will not live as a minority under the roof of another state with the struggle they have been waging for many years. At the current stage, opposing the existence of the TRNC is synonymous with opposing the existence of the Turkish Cypriot people.

As long as the TRNC, the Turkish Nation exists, which it always will, the Turkish Cypriot people and the TRNC will continue to exist in peace.

With these feelings and thoughts, on the 39th anniversary of the establishment of the TRNC, especially Dr. Fazıl Küçük, the Leader of our struggle for existence and freedom, and our Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş, I would like to express our gratitude to the resisters, mujahideen, the heroic members of the Security Forces and the Turkish Cypriot Peace Forces, our martyrs and their families, our veterans and Turkey, which is always with us, and sincerely celebrate the Republic Day of our people.
